The light distance weather its a regular or auto flower is going to be the same distance. Your yield is in the strain itself, your nutrients and what your growing in, weather dirt hydro or soil.

No. You don't want the light too far from the canopy of your plant, because then it will stretch to reach it, and end up lanky, with a lot of extra airy space between nodes.

I know that, you would do the same for reg. plants and auto right? If they are seedlings no matter what type they are you would keep them as close as possible to the led so they don't stretch right?

correct, with led's however, too close may bleach tops!
