Need help choosing LED

And yes the datasheet is mostly blah blah also. You need to understand different countries, different regulations.
you are backpedaling :)......I have bought stuff from China, that is myth..... your above statement...some is absolutely shit and some is absolutely Top Shelf....that is just one example amigo.

The quality is in your research.....anybody can say anything. Vet them. Vet me.

Good companies make Good datasheets.....Bad companies make ...[see where I am going]

I stand by everything I say pal.
My eyes didn't lie either.

this is the main company that makes Epileds... if you find the datasheet then by all means. But for a company that is traded on major stock exchanges, you sure talk a lot of shit about cheap Chinese shit

Ok look OP, I'm done playing with Mr I know everything. Do some research, enjoy growing your plants and fsmoke some bud.
Heres my couple weeks away to be harvested Auto plant that really poured on the trichs in week 3 flower.

My cheap 300w (Chinese or Taiwan) pos LED did this. Enjoy. My god.IMG_20151116_220015.jpg

Oh and just for clarification, she shares that light with another plant just about her size. So take as you will. I'm in a 4x4x6.5 ft tent

Now we wait for buddy and his bs about (ooo a brandname murica LED would have quadrupled that and made so many trichs you go blind) blah blah

And as for the Canadian Blackstar - You know the one you go on and on about cheap chinese no names... well they use CREE, Bridelux and Epistar.

Also... Just like my LED panel ...

  • Why do some of the LED's seem dark or broken? This light has 2 LED's that may seem dim or not to be working at all. This is not the case, they are outside of the visible spectrum and are there because of the beneficial properties for plant growth. Don't panic, it is the way it is supposed to be (They are found in the center of the light).
IE UV spectrum for the dumbass who can't fathom that fact.

Mine only has 2, yes TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(no but wait, those are actually broken fakes... right??? right?????) Must be, every diode running on individual drivers... cheap chinese shit eh... lmao

No no wait, it's Infrared!!

Even the blackstars talk shit like you ... lol

  • What makes this LED different than others here? Simply put we use better LEDs. Cree, Bridgelux and Epistar. Lighthouse has been making the Blackstar for over the last six years making innovative improvements to both the design and the components. Many companies have come and gone and now Lighthouse makes the biggest selling and most powerfull LED grow lights in the world. It's just like using a Chinese HPS bulb vs spending the money on a Hortilux bulb. You get what you pay for, this is the only LED we sell in our storefront because it is the only one that has proven its success.
But those CAN'T BE UV LEDS .... NO WAY!!!!!!!!!

They are not those nm's you suggest....they are probably more in the realm of 410-420nm which is just UV-A, a blacklight......
Sorry, thats a VISIBLE spectrum. I can't see if my 2 LEDS are even working. No visibility.
And yes, it would be a DEEP purple colour. You know, I have had 405nm lasers.

*sigh* smh, Fuck it, its infrared or fake

Blackstar....:) you crack me up.......They haven't changed their light tech since they 1st came out nearly 6-7 years ago....Have Led's changed since then? at all?
No cred man... none
unless they just changed to Cree/bridgelux and eipstar recently ... so then I guess they changed!!! Or did they!?!?

I have no cred, what do I know :)

There is a lot out there, that you are quite unaware of......Don't argue with a fool, because there are now two.

Just answer the question and stop being hyperbolic

If you had:
a 300w lamp with 40 PAR watt

and

a 300w lamp with 150 PAR watts

and they cost the same

which would you choose?

If I have an LED panel that is Chinese, does it automatically mean the UV LED's are fake? What about Canadian made with Cree? Seriously... c'mon

That is the point of this whole conversation .. you are derailing this into other areas. My Chinese LED has UV LED's .. I'm sorry you can't accept that as good enough. I guess if you wish to disprove this, go fucking buy one and disprove it. I have no reason to prove it.. I've seen enough from my ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE that I mentioned.

Hey everyone, that Hyundai is a fake... It's not a real car.. is not MURICAN
You know how I know? Because I never bought one and used it!!

Blackstar Cree/Bridgelux and Epistar LED's fake UV? Answer that. You know so much about just sitting in your arm chair. Seems the more you spout shit, the more I can discredit you.

.....I never said fake...I said unverified thru a datasheet and NOT an Merchandising AD, big difference?

anecdotal evidence also allows idiots to say that Pot Kills, data proves otherwise.....See? Who says they are an UV spectrum your eye bulbs, lol, they are bad Photometers, I used to make the same mistake...No biggie...you are just more stubborn.

Halogen light bulbs grow weed thru anecdotal evidence, but not well and are usually passed on by better means...Better i.e. increase umol/s per joule....Which concept I am sure you are all over..Enlighten please on Photosynthetic Active Radiation, I am definitely listening :)

UV is also a broad spectrum and McCree thru his RQE work, found that certain wavelenghts of UV contain more PAR..so all NM's of UV are not the same to a plant.....Usually included UV in these cheap fixtures is not appropriate for max plant growth....Look for a specific UV in 350nm, tell me the cost......or 375....those have been shown to increase some measurements of Photosynthesis in plant growth beyond anecdotal evidence, thru research which is published and easily read.

Anecdotal that the UV was creating more TRICHOMES to MY grow. UV could be 100% FACT and not ANECDOTAL in the production of Trichs .. I only said anecdotal because I am not an expert on plants and light spectrum's.

You basically implied they are fake, or bs because they are Chinese or not made by Cree. So is anything not by Cree fake or bs advertising? What about items made with Cree like Blackstars? Those UV's are false advertising... let me guess.. how is it user report them as being burnt out or not working? Does this not imply UV spectrum or FIR that is unseen to our eyes?

Wtf does this have to do with my LED having UV @ 380nm .. are my Diodes falsely advertised .. IE fake? Which is it man?
