Need help big time! Not sure what is wrong or what to do :/

Hello everybody I have decided to come here because I can not seem to get an answer for my problem on Google :? Anyway, a little information. I have been planning my growth since late July. I have done all my research, made my own fertilizer (I live in a farming area so combined some manures together and are currently drying) made sure I understood pH and water levels, soils, humidity and of course the various lighting methods that are out there. I had the perfect place ready too. My grandmothers old house she has a lovely spacey barn with perfect ventilation. So my seeds came from royalqueenseeds.com in early August. 3 beautiful ammnesia haze's and a critical. My lighting equipment came a week after, a 600 HPS bulb and ballast (problem with order) So that left me in the middle of August. I was so excited! I was stupid though, I got my seeds germinating. That only took two days! I was absolutely delighted! :) So I went up to my grandmothers, seeds and lighting and all and stupidly, so so stupidly I planted the seeds in a 6 slot tray (most flowers come in them) before I set up the lighting. Afterwards I set up the lighting to discover the only socket wasn't working :/ I was in trouble then because now I had nowhere to put it whatsoever! I took the tray and left it in her kitchen beside a window that gets a fair amount of light. I was really worried that they wouldn't grow at all but one (I presume the critical because it doesn't take as long as the ammnesia) did make a tiny sprouting. It was still there when I checked it at the weekend. But now it is Tuesday and finally I got the socket working and my lighting system is up and running. Only problem, the tiny sprout, died. :/ I checked the other 3 slots and I think two of them at least (I am hoping all of them are) are growing. I think watering them pulled the seeds further down that I actually planted them? I was told to keep them in plenty of water until they sprouted which is what I was doing. So my question is, the sprout that died, will it grow again? If I dig down a little into the slots what should I look for to tell me that they are actually growing? Or should I just buy new seeds and start all over again :/ I really don't want to have to buy new seeds >.< And another question out of curiousity because I never found a straight answer. Is there any way to speed up the growing process up to flowering stage? For anybody who can help me thank you so much! And I really don't need people constantly telling me I am stupid, if I fucked up I know it's my own fault :/

Nobody's going to tell you you're stupid. A little anxious, yes ... But we all are when we're not growing yet! Haha

I'm no longer a licensed healthcare provider, but I believe dead still means dead ... So I'm guessing the one that died will remain in that condition. Haha sorry, couldn't help being a wise guy :-) Sorry she died though, that stinks

So the others, are they through the soil? Don't go digging for them, leave them be.

For future reference, I've heard that moistening the soil prior to sowing the seeds helps prevent them from being washed either up or down. Personally, I use upside-down rooter plugs. If you've not seen that method, look up FarmerJohn420 on YouTube and watch his videos. He's got a lot of seed starts he taped recently and I think you'll pick up some great info there.

i can't find the video now where he did the seedlings but I know I saw it there before.

Don't dig. If you are a novice working on 3 plants is enough. If you are Irish, pm me and I will help as much as I can, if your not, tough shite.

Thank you for taking the time to read my long ass post xD
Yeah I guess a little over anxious. I really wanted to have something for the beginning of December for my boyfriend and I's joint (no puns intended) 18 but oh well not anymore. That was why I wanted to start like three weeks ago, give them plenty of time. I am not too worried if the one that died was the critical, I am more worried about my lovely Ammnesia Hazes D:
Ah I was just curious because certain plants if they die after a certain amount of time and care grow back again so I was wondering if grass was the same. Nope not yet but now that they are under the light I can estimate them popping through in about 2-3 days if they are alive.

Ah thank you very much I shall look that up now :) And once again, thanks for your time and energy ^^

So you are saying "non Irish need not apply" ?

that is not how they used to do it in the USA back in the day.

Did you put you seeds in the same soil mix you made? You could have burned the few roots that developed in those first couple of days. Just use a regular organic soil. I don't even germinate in soil, I use rockwool cubes, then transfer.

Nope, I was using normal compost? Can't remember the name of it but it is nice and soily, not too much bark chipings and such. I germinated them in a glass of water and transfered to soil after two days because the tap root had broken out.

Compost huh? Do you know, if there is any, the NPK ratio? Compost is almost like fertilizer, packed with rich nutrients. I think that may have killed you babies.

I don't even know the name of it or anything, I can't remember D: I shall be going back later this evening to see how they are today now that they have heat. I'll take a look at the bag when I am there also :)

If you're gonna be sowing seeds, you need to be doing that in regular organic soil. When I'm growing fruits and vegetables, I'll mix compost (that I make) with soil. No other fertilizers. That's only because my compost is so fucking rich, I don't need anything else.
