Sevin spray. Buy it anywhere. Spray the tops AND bottoms of your plants. Spritz a little on the top of the soil. A LITTLE! Nutrients and poisons are tow things when people like me say a little we mean a little.

It's toxic (duh) so keep off your skin and out of your lungs. Then preventive spraying with products such as Thanatos (all I use along with Neem but others here will have plenty of suggestions) on your plants helps keep them off. Diotomaceous earth on and in your soil helps there. Good luck. Oh yeah - don't spray within 30 days of harvest. If your plant is a short timer then find the critters and pick 'em by hand Do yourself a favor and buy a series of magnifying glasses or handheld microscopes. A 40X handheld scope is useful to ID bugs and examine ripening bud.

I would just use, and I do, water and plain dish soap in a spray bottle until you determine what it is.

That combo works for just about everything but spider mites, it will work with them if you add garlic. Also put a small cup of warm beer close to the plants, most bugs that fly will end up in there dead so you can identify and then go at the Larve once you know what you are dealing with
