Hi folks, glad to stay here ;O)
I'll be concise:
I 'd like to grow three plants in hydroponic system.
I've been reading alot on line before posting here.
All the same I still have doubts.

Does an Agro lamp (400watt = 50.000 lumens) grow up three plants?
if it does, what is the growbox's size I should build?

This is my starting point and
I know this is an easy question to reply for expert growers.
thanks in advance ;O)

I'm no expert but, 400watt will grow 3 plants no problem. As far as growbox, i would say on the ground 1 sq.ft/plant, and height 4ft works, 5+ is better. I dont know what you are using for your hydro setup. hope this helped.

a good rule is
1 foot for pots
1 foot for light
1 foot for inbertween lights and plants if using hps.
thats before the size of the plant, what will also get 2 to 3 times bigger when you goto 12/12.

;O) thanks a lot to reply me so quickly.

Now I have an idea about how big the basement should be to avoid a waste of lighting.
The next step I have to do is (as you said) what kind of Hydro system I want to use to determinate my growbox's height.

In this case I'm still undecided among two solutions.
1)The first one is that one you put your nutrients in a tank outside the growbox and with a couple of pumps I can move my nutrients from and to the other one wich is smaller to avoid to move plants from his "house" .
2) The other one is something like this but with three holes
in this case my growbox ought be at least 6,562 feet high
but I guess that with this solution it will be uncomfortable when I need to change the irrigating solution.
I guess it will be easier to opt for the first case.

Any suggestions?
