Need help! 4th harvest and still taste and burns terrible

I need some major advice here. So I'm gonna first start with my set up and everything that's involved. So I start with taking 40 clones from 2 mothers and if everything goes well end up with 30 for my system and 2 left over for my mothers. After I see a good amount of roots i take them into the flower room and start the 12/12 period. I am using an ebb n flow setup and flooding once every hour for 15 minutes. I am using gh flora A and B for nutes along with floralicious and kool bloom, along with cal mag. I am using 6 cobb led that I built myself (600 watts) for each table. Using ro water and the highest the ppms get are 900. I flush for 1 week at week 8 and harvest at week 9. I am not seeing any yellowing like you should when you flush and when the plant is ripening. After I make the chop, I hang the plant whole with the fan leaves cut off and dry for maximum 14 days and then jar them. Here is the problem I'm having..well multiple problems really....the bud taste and smell is very light and after halfway through the joint you have to put it out because it's not good. I am getting black ash and have to keep lighting it. I also want to mention that the day after I jar the buds are spongy....am I not letting it dry enough...could that be a culprit to the bad smell and taste. I have grown g13 pineapple express, sour glue, Cheeselicious, blueberry and all have turned out with bad taste, smell and burn. Oh and the last run I did was cheeselicious and had extreme foxtailing. And every grow I have done I have to literally squeeze the buds to get any aroma. I would think a strain like cheeselicious would be extra pungent. Please any help would be greatly appreciated

Lol....that's at week 8....the buds are airy as fuck. This was my first time encountering this and I'm pretty sure ts because I used half strength nutes the whole flowering and the highest the ppm got on this particular grow was only 700...I went half strength thinking that I was using too many nutes previous grows.

besides harvesting early, it sounds like you’re not curing the buds properly. You need to burp those jars often when you first jar them or bad things happen. I actually like to cure in paper bags after air drying……the paper absorbs the moisture slowly. Here’s a good tutorial.

Everytime I jar I feel like the buds get kinda spongy the next day...am I not drying long enough? Also I am putting all my buds into a couple big jars...do I need to put them in multiple little jars?

Did it smell good while growing? If it did, its a problem with your drying/curing. If it didn't, try getting some different genetics. Your pic looks like it could have gone longer, but it should still have a scent

I agree about putting material in the jars always seems to make it worse, not better--even with a hygrometer. After years of getting frustrated with the difficulty getting a good cure, I got some good advice to leave the buds hanging at 50% humidity until its used. If it drops below 30% humidity or above 60% in the room it will lose flavor. Try keeping it out of the jar and see if that helps your final result

Agree with above, harvesting several weeks too early, plus you need to tighten up your drying game. Control temp/humidity while you dry, and get the buds in the jars at 60% RH or so, and keep an eye on them and open as needed. Get accurate mini hygrometers, most of them are crap. A low and slow dry of FULLY ripe bud is what you're going for.

I purchased multiple hygromoters and placed them in the jar and they read 59 and one read 60 percent humidity. I am drying 10 to 14 days at 60 percent relative humidity and 72 degrees in the space that I'm drying in and then putting in jars

It smells good when its growing but I have to pinch the buds to get a smell. Maybe because they are bit fully ripe yet? I dont understand why the smell isnt blasting me in the face...genetics? I've tried 4 different strains

You pulled way too early. To dry them properly you need to do it low and slow. 65-68 degrees and 55% humidity. Should take somewhere like 10-14 to properly dry.
I think I'm drying properly, im leaving the leaves on and I'm drying at 60% humidity and 72 degrees which seems a little too slow in my opinion. I am 100% sure your right....who hears of someone harvesting at 8 weeks. I definitely think I took them early. So lets say I waited, do you think I would of noticed a night and day difference....sorry I'm still a little new at this
