:dunce:Hey All,
another newbie question, and i need help.:wall: i have 6 23w cfls on 2 tiny plants that are 7 days above ground. i kept the light on for 24, 1 plant is ok, the other plant , the leaves are curling under and its not growing as big as the other. i havent given any nutr's to either 1 yet, just water. are my lights to much for my young girls?, should i lessen the time the lights on? should i give then nutr's? also there in 4 inch clay pots, should i trans plant them to bigger pots now? i really wanna keep my girls happy and healthy, and suggestion would be HIGHly appreciated, Thanks all,;-)

How close are the cfls to the plant that is curling?
How hot is your space?
Have you over watered them?
Try feeding with half doses of babybio in the second week of their life as this nute is very mild and weak.

the space is 75f, the lights are 1 inch above plants, i check soil b4 i water them, i mixed the soil wrong i think i have to much verlite. (not sure if spelling is right), the soil is very light and airy, so it dries up pretty fast.the set up is like, the plant is in the middle on 4 lights, theres 2 plants and six cfl bulbs, 3 sockets with y adapters so 2 bulbs in each socket. do you think the soil might be the problem?

Mix up some weak nutes and move the light a bit further away from the plants see if this helps:eyesmoke:

the heat is your problem. there is no such thing as too much light, only too much heat

ok thxs 4 the help, im gonna pull the lighting up and im gonna give em some weak nutes, I keep a fan on it the grow room, but i will see if i can get temps down, there is no vent so i might keep door open, but if the heat is the issue, why would 1 be ok and the other not be? im like a sponge, absorbing as much knowledge as i can. lol

Is the fan oscillating or in a fixed position?

If its fixed you may be blowing all the heat onto one plant or blowing one plant to close to the light or blowing young plants to hard for their water uptake,or the plant may just be weak genetically.:blsmoke:

dont feed your plants yet as it cud kill them? you wont to start feeding when thay are 3 or 4 weeks old, can the post sum pic's?
and there is never to much light, good luck

hey all.
the fan is fixed, and there isnt anyway to vent with door closed in my closed, i cant cut a hole in any of the walls, so i put the plants outside for the day to try n help them out, tonight i will be moving all my gear to the basement where its cool and setting up there, the room is wide open so i will be able to use more lighting, and the temps wont be a factor anymore,
thxs 4 the help all
