Ok, I'm looking for advice from the folks who have ran rooms in the attic.
I am aware that I would battle temperature fluctuations. I plan to combat that with a mix of split intakes I can adjust the ratio of air coming from outside and from tapping into the cold air returns of the hvac system below me.
What I'm worried about is condensation.
If I build an sealed room (poly+Mylar) I'm afraid of condensation running down into the floor, and getting into the insulation, then the ceiling of the house below. I will definitely have adequate ventilation, and know I will want a dehumidifier. I also had the idea of building a "floor tub" with the poly before the walls go up, in hopes of catching any drips before they reach the "outside".
Would I be better scrapping the idea of the enclosed space, and just using tents only? (Easier to monitor 360°)
Anything else I should take into consideration? Any advice or feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
