The bigger the pot directly effects how much bud you get. Last grow I did 200 gallons and pulled 4 1/2 pounds a plant. But for a noob I would suggest nothing smaller then 25 gallons

My opinion, for what it's worth.
Transplant into your final pot size. Fill pot with good mix of soil and amendments, such as ocean forrest and pro-mix, 2 to 1 of pro to ocean. Add amendments, such as alfalfa meal for ph, crushed oyster shell for ph and cal-mag, chicken shit, bat shit, and I personally like crab meal. All of these should be light as you can and should add again. I would also consider mixing some permits in with your soil mix to. I would also strongly recommend a fabric pot. Water in and watch it go.

This is key for outdoor. You can even buy your own burlap fabric and make what even size you want. If you have some real aggressive plants, you can even cut them open and mound up more soil.
