Need advise

Finished my first grow and harvested plants been hanging for a week and i noticed they kinda lost their good smell and smell kinda like hay!
will the smell get better after their done drying or what?
is there something else i should be doing like putting it in an airtight container or just leave them be ?

Any and all advice is needed.

haha. Was it a widow plant by chance? I have a widow cross and it does the same thing. Smells like a cat pissed on some hay while it dries. After it cures for a week or so that will start to go away.

Just make sure you seal it up when the buds get that crispy dry feeling. Open the container and stir the buds around once or twice a day until they are no longer moist feeling when you first open it - should take a couple weeks. It is at that point that the hay smell should be completely gone. Enjoy!
