I have a 600w dimmable lumatek ballast, it's digital. I am in the market for a new bulb since my hortilux had died on my second grow.

I want a bulb that will last longer, aslo should I only buy bulbs that are for digital ballast?

Hello me RIU, I know you have the answers I seek, help me choose a bulb, please, I will be eternally greatful.... I'll even mow your lawn

I ran hortilux bulbs but they don't survive too long w/ my lumatek on super lumens.. I'm now using lumatek's own 600w bulbs and they are holding up really well and production seems the same if not a tad better but let's not say that's only because of the light

hehe, super lumens.... We must have the same ballast... We're ballast buddies. Yeah, been looking at the lumatek bulbs, they're a might cheaper than hortilux (eye)

Reckon how long you've been running that lumatek bulb? Care to take a guess?

I assume an electronic ballast is the same thing as a digital ballast, anyone care to clarify? (I'm an idiot)

I am buying the C.A.P. 600w MH bulb ($40) and the C.A.P. 600w HPS bulb ($32ish). Not sure if they're the best or anything, but they seem like they'll get the job done.

I love my Sunmasters, dual spectrum so can be used for veg or flower and with my Lumatek Digi's (with superlumens & Switchable) they last around 6 months for £22 in the UK. I am not a fan of Hortilux but have never used the C.A.P bulbs. JMO W

I've been running my lumatek's for almost 3 cycles now, about 6 months and I really haven't noticed much of a difference. I either need a lumen gauge or just replace them to be sure though. Also, two types of ballasts as I know of.. Magnetic and Digital.. Our lumateks are digital. Like I said I just went with the lumatek bulbs because they claim the same lumens and were recommended. I'd like some more input though
