hi

short of it i made up super soil .......i am having a issue with one of the plants it is showing red vein
i know it not N i can see toxic reaction ....not P as the soil is loaded and K i got something called DeuceDeuce it is 0-0-22

still got the issue so i want to flush and check the soil's PH

but the trouble is the plant is as tall as i am i have no where i can flush it and no way to get it out of the area other then cutting it down.........so i need some method of allowing me to pass water tho a 7 gallon planter

room has a drop ceiling so i can gain 4 inches .....has about 14/12 inches or so before it hits ceiling (the light is 2 inches away from top no choice)

7 gallon planter ......getting water to it is no issue it is a way to capture and remove it from the area with out flooding the whole room

ideas .......crazy ass stoner jerry rigging .......i need a CLETUS

I guess I'm not grasping the problem, you said you have 4 inches of play with the ceiling. Lift the plant, stick something big enough underneath to catch water (Tupperware, big ass frying pan, etc..), check pH.

ask the right questions.
you dont even need to flush...
i want to check the PH as it has been getting some chemical feed........a 2nd plant same soil is doing perfect (different strain)

i want to capture some run off as it is a fabric planter ....check for 6.5 i think it is low and that is causing lock out ......but it is to tall
to use a deep sink or to move it up to bath tub without cracking the branches

i need a method of doing in the room where the plant is ......the room has no drains (hell it not even on the central AC for the house)

i made a monster and i need to check the PH possible adjust it

sick plant
1 confirm PH of the soil ..adjust if needed
2 read the leaves looking for match to id the issue ...alter the feed plan
3 wait and watch

Slip a trash bag under the plant and pot and put something to get the pot off the ground a few inchest inside the bag. Run phed water through.. Then slip the bag back off and check the water inside

why go through the effort of making an organic soil, and amending it all the way you like, and THEN adding something like a 0-0-22??
Why mix organics and chemicals is I guess what im asking?

might work but i think i have to do it 2 times to get a good reading ...fabric bag been used a few times it would have some residue left from last grows .......when i can do it my way i run 2 gallons of water tho and start a shot glass capture when i am on that last half gallon to remove anything

improve my skills power and yield ......feed has always been something extra for the plant once i can make a well balanced soil that gets me 8 to 10 oz per plant each time i can work on increasing that to the plants maximum yield ......originally it was only getting some organic feed when they preflower i use some chemicals to open up more sites ......this plant got red vein i tried all my organic feeds then moved to dueceduece from Humboldt based of what the soil was lacking

organics get u great taste and smooth smoke ......chemical is for weight and thickness ......blend both to get the best out each.......in the end no matter what shop i apply for i will have the feeding skills to improve the plants

Ok, but I highly disagree with the statement of "blending both to get the best out of each"
You probably have a toxicity problem with potassium.
Adding a 0-0-22 isn't going to make you yield any more, more than likely less...
Not busting balls man, just saying you may want to hit up the stickys on the organic section, could save you some disappointment

used it once 5 days ago to see if it was what the plant was lacking ........did not fix it so moving to get ph

To your blog, I am sure the answer is there... And just a heads up, runoff pH will tell you nothing about what your mediums actual pH is.

Without actually seeing your plant , maybe a slight LST to upper stem ( temporary ) to get vertical down a bit so you can move plant around.

I've wondered about this... Let's say you're pouring 6.0 into the plant and catching runoff that's now 5.0... Wouldn't that tell you that your medium is at least 5.0 or lower to be able to bring your 6.0 down? Or vice versa if you put 6.0 in and it came out as 7.0?

Not to hijack, just a thought i remembered when I read this...

Just super crop it if you're that worried about clearance... Then put some tape around the stem to support it or tie it to the ceiling after you're done.

Soo.. Get a medicine ball cut a pot sized hole in it, raise the pot with blocks as high as possible inside the medicine ball shell. Gut the one-way filler valve making it just a drain.. Hook a small pump up to it.. Run your two gallons into a homer bucket.. Take a shot glass capture when you're on the last half gallon, to remove anything of course.

I'm grasping here for the dream to stay alive

to those that are fallowing /helping

ph is 7.0

so looks like it just under feeding is my issue ........i made a monster again
to answer the ? how
i used a brew bucket with a spigot ....i set in 2 4x4s that were cut to 12 inches ......used a cooling rack for baking placed that on top of the 4x4s in the bucket then set the planter ontop of that ran my water tho it use the spigot with a tube on it drain it out put the planter back on the mat

run off test and soil probe ............6.7 on the run off and 7 on the probe

Hey bro I grow in a basement with no drain but I have run off and I remove it from my basement.... Here is how.... I have trays I grow in.... I drilled a hole in bottom of all the trays and hooked up a fitting to the under side of the trays and I ran hoses to a bucket.... So all of my run off go's to the bucket witch also has a hole drilled in it with a fitting.... Then I dump that bucket into a bucket and carry it upstairs and dump it.... Here is a pic of my set up.
