need a good COB

image.jpg This is the inside of a 90watt UFO. Has two drivers that run 600mA 45-65v.. Gonna start ordering parts to make it better. This will be the third transformation when it's done. I might start a thread for other people looking to make their crappy lights into something awesome

I have checked over everything multiple times... The CXA1304s are not turning on at all. Everything is wired correctly. Need help please as I have about 9 or 10 days till this light needs to be operational.

I am looking for a driver/drivers that can power 24 cxa1304s.

doh. you'd have to run 4 in series in that case! They probably call it a 9V diode because that's the forward voltage where the diode array is considered "on".

Did you take the glue off and solder the connections to the driver? Did you try a different driver to rule out a dud?

Also, positive and negative can be confusing when hooking up drivers to LEDs in series. The positive of the driver goes to the positive on the LED, which is kinda weird in a way because they are in series and the positives connect to the next negative in the string. So actually the driver is lying to you about positive and negative to try and makes thing easier :?:o_O

Yes I did. However I didn't cover the connections with any insulator.. Problem?
All drivers work, and the little red light they, have turn on. I've looked it over 100 times and I'm pretty sure the connections are right, take a look

This will probably qualify as the stupidest comment ever, but I don't see the COBs in the last picture, just the holders. Am I missing something?

they don't snap in, so i took them out after i tested them. i don't know if I'm being too carful handling these LEDs, are they really fragile?

those were pictures just to show the wiring

Are you using both channels? Have you tried each channel separately? Can you get a multi-meter to test the connections? Maybe it's one of the holders or the COB isn't sitting in the holder the right way. Have you wired the COBs up without the holders?

when i tested it i had all the channels going. yes, my girlfriend and i checked all of them several times to see if they were in the right way. i have not tried it without the holder.

where do i find a multi meter?

Amprobe, relatively cheap but I can vouch for the quality of the resistors. I believe they are made by fluke. I have both Fluke (115) and Amprobe (AM-510) and their measurements agree with each other.
