Well, here is my most successful start so far. All of the others, about 5 or 6 in all died either as seed or in seedling hood. I've lost track of exactly how old from sprouting this one is, but I know it is in veg. There are a couple things I know I need to do to it, one either get rid of the bottom leaf that is brown or cut the fan leaf above it so more light can get to it. Here is the questions, am I right in thinking this is a female, or is it still too early to tell? I'm thinking of flowering it next week, I know I might not get the yield I could from it, but mostly I just want to make sure I can bring one to flower. Oh yeah, if it is a female, I'll take a cutting or two to make clones from, and veg them while this one is flowering, as well as use one of the clones as a mother. Well, comments and suggestions? This is a CFL grow. I water just about every other day and add nutes every other watering.

too early to tell sex yet. Cut the leaf if it is not more than 25% burned. Remove the leaf if it is more than 25%. And watch the water. Water good one day and check to see if it needs more after waiting 2 more days. You don't wanna overwater it. What kind of soil are you using? Looks a bit too barky.

oh... The burn on your leaves looks like nute burn. Too much nutes! Took a second look and that's what it looks like.

The soil is MG Organic Choice, it was all Wally world had. I need to get to Lowes of Home depot to look for better, I know. Either that or go out side and dig some from the ground and mix it with some fishmeal or other ferts.
Bottom leaves may be nute burned, but the top came from when a CFL fell on it. Both types. The cool and warm. The warm is one of the 42 watt jobs, as well as a smaller 19 or 20 something watt warm. Actually on the soil, I was thinking of using some from outside mixed with the potting stuff I got from wally world. I'd use more of the dirt from outside than the potting mix, in other words just enough of the potting to let the roots breathe. I have an idea for the lighting that I'm going to try, it will be a few days to a week though before I can do it though. I thought it might be a little early for sex, but gave it a shot any way. WTF! TOO EARLY FOR SEX?!! Its never too early for sex.

I find it isn't really that bad, just a little too barky like you said. Guess as long as it doesn't bite, then I'm okay with it. I've given thought to cutting the nutes back, and for the next three or four waterings, I think I'm just gonna go with straight water. Right now I have only the one plant, came from bagseed, don't know what strain or anything the plant is. Well, it'll grow and flower and over time - from the clones if it is female - I'll learn just how long to leave it in each stage. Thanks for the input.

Haven't noticed any bugs. The only real complaint I've had about this is how dry it looks just a few hours after watering. I know that it doesn't need any water, just it looks like it does. Guess that comes from living in the sticks and watching my dad's vegetable garden growing up. When the rains come, the ground looks wet for a while. As long as it keeps growing, then I'm not too worried about it too much.
