Faraday cages have a poor reputation for working, tha k you tho. And unfortunatly the mesh you linkes is only 5 inches wide, so id need around 40 rolls to get around a 10×10 room, then another 20 rolls for the roof and floor. And 60x $30 will cost more than just buying the right ballasts.

I dont want to get crazy with this just to grow a couple of plants without pissing of my neibors, this is small scale. Couple lbs a year just to keep me in smoke, edibals an hash without buying any. I think with the gav an the magnetic i should be able to do one or 2 winter runs an be set for the year.

This has to be as low cost as possible, i counter the power use with not really using the heat and just ducting the heat aroumd the house. The ballast an bulbs are a big enough burden. Long gone are the days i could go to the store an drop a few G on new hardware, but those were good times

u just have to wrap it around the ballast and use some wires to close up the ends
2 or 3 wraps with the 2nd stuff i posted then get some copper thread (hobby store) and close up the ends make it sealed

try it....... it will cost u about 20 bucks does not look all that pretty but it works

If you’re open to considering led’s, they really are simple to wire up. I’m into cobs right now, so I’d be willing to help you with any questions you had via pm. The Samsung f series strips are even easier, although I have zero experience with them.

At first I was going to call the OP spoonfed for whining about the quality of answers....

But these answers.... If you don't know what RFI is or how it can be a problem, why do you keep replying??? Unbelievable to me...

As if canada doesn't have cable modems. Of course it's a problem in canada.... If your neighbors' internet all goes down, you can be sure the cable guy will pinpoint the interference to your house. If you don't fix it they will just disconnect your cable.

Canada must not have communication. Everyone talks with tin cans on a stretched out string.

Generally, when you have to ask what something is, chances are you're too ignorant to be reassuring someone it's not a problem. It might very well be a non-issue for OP, but you don't even know what RFI is or what problems it can cause.

I wasn't referring to your responses, and OP was asking about an RFI free ballast for DE, not for who here grows with DE. If BigHornBuds doesn't know what RFI is, he should stop talking about it as if it's not a problem, and if OP isn't getting the answers he wants, he should try the search feature. Unfortunately this thread will now show up when people search for RFI.

Guys , I gave the info he needed at the start and this came straight from a cable tech who helped me with my RFI problems. I have cable lines running through my flower room with a 750DE and a 600 HPS running on a cheap Apollo ballast and thanks to the tech working with me I have 0 RFI being transferred to the cable lines.

You can however find ballasts that have implemented features that reduce RFI to minimal. And he was given links to a few.

I found what the problem was in the low yeild
OP doesn’t need a DE and he won’t be able to control it anyways
