I’m slow drying about 10 days till stems got a slight snap still got a little bend. They smell great now when I jar them I’m putting 58% bovida packs in with the bud and burp for less than a minute a day because my humidity really doesn’t quite reach the 58% mark. This method is taking the smell and taste rite out the bud should I keep it closed till the humidity goes up further I’ve got a lot invested and have been Messing up my beautiful buds trying the cure process I used to cut em of the stem and straight into a ziplock bag and never had a problem years ago

I used boveda packs for every time but I noticed this last harvest after a while the smell would kind of dull or not be as potent smelling, then I realized it was the same on my last grow. I heard it was from putting the packs in too early

You probably don’t have to worry about the packs too much if youre not getting above 58 anyway. After a week and a half or 2 you can start opening the jars less frequently

Put the Bovida packs in the jar and leave it closed do not open till you want to smoke some of it I do this after I have dried mine and the smell will curl your toes but that just my way...

Boveda is a “ push / pull “ moisture product for long term storage .... it adds nothing to curing . You have to range the PH to desired level FIRST and have it static before using a pack. For growers , that run perpetuals and have jars stored for later consumption, then all good. But , if you use to “ quick cure “ your buds then you will not find them that useful in the beginning.

You should master Rh control without boveda or integra packs in jar , by way of basic burping , nug mixing in jar , with a hygrometer in jar. That way if you prefer bud at say 62% then you can “ store “ it at 62% with pack. I have jars going for a year with pack keeping things stable , but for growers wanting to blaze in less time then simple jar cure is fine. You can “ step down “ Rh by way of meter monitoring and burping - simple as shit .... too wet ? ... lay out buds on table for awhile , re-jar and monitor rh after an hour. You NEED to burp jars as needed to exchange air to allow chlorophyll to get broken down and off gassed. A little too dry ? .... then you can add some hydration by way of a large fan leaf in jar - stupid simple ..... no pack needed. Boveda will trap that RH and air if stored alone and never burped - hence weird smelling buds .

I just added some fan leaves to some jars with the bovida packs in still my hydra meters still ain’t reading quite high enough I’ll try taking the packs out

You are ruining your weed by not waiting until its fully dried before sealing in a jar. Also, Boveda's suck ass. They literally market them as making your buds smell less.

I was actually afraid that it might be dry too much because I’m not reaching the proper humidity level in my mason jars

You know what you're doing wrong. Read your posts from a 3rd person.

Weed doesn't even need a jar. Completely forget about the jar, pretend jars don't exist until you get this figured out.

Of course, the bigger factor is how you grew the plant. If it's over loaded with nutes and sprayed with oils at ANY point after hairs form, you ain't gonna be able to cure it. This is why big growers don't believe in curing. It simply doesn't work with dirty bud.
Took the packs out and other jars that still had hope to keep some smell and seems to smell better already
