I know gorilla makes one but have seen a ton of quality issue complaints and people saying they have horrible customer service. There is a knock of brand on amazon also. Can’t seem to find any others. What are your suggestions, experiences?

.

I bought three Black Box tents last year, the oldest is almost a year now.

It was cheap, about $300 CAD for a 4x4x 6'8". I was worried about the quality at that price but the zippers have been holding up well.

Tall boy tents are pretty limited. I haven't ever had an issue with gorilla tents...I had no rips or light leak issues, all the vent socks did well and the reflective material didn't flake off like cheaper tents I've used in the past. I'm going to give yield lab a shot this round as I've heard great things for a few bucks cheaper. It'll arrive on the 11th.

I have a gorilla tent 4x4 with the extension that I haven't even needed to use. I've had zero issues. I've opened and closed it probably a 1000 times, zippers are as solid as the day I got it. Windows are still clear! Vent mesh is still like new. Only complaints I've heard about their product was having to due with their first generation of the lite line models. Yeah amazon and ebay have hundreds of knock offs but they are nothing but cheap knockoffs with lots of light leaks and silly small lightweight zippers. P.S. I bought it used from another first time grower so you know that zipper is solid. :D

I'll give a nod on Gorilla as well, mine haven't seen much usage since I switched to open in the room/closet instead but do use one as a drying tent that has had no issues with zippers, etc. What I like about them that might apply for you specifically is not only do they have/come with an extension but if I'm not mistaken you can stack those extensions for even more height. Pretty much modular - you want a 10' tall tent just buy more kits and stack'em up. Not sure if there's any reason there'd be a limit to the number you can stack.

I have a gorilla lite line model and an original gorilla tent

the lite line is probably what you see bad reviews on , the original gorilla tent is bad ass and very high quality

you can get a 5x5 if you want too which I like a lot more than a 4x4

unfortunately I don’t have the space for it. At least until the kids get older! Soon as my daughter goes to college boom, her room is the new grow room!
