Alright so the idea of this thread is to post your near death experiences I'l start with mine except i actually died. So this year on 5/7/09 I was chillen with my friend and he decided to go to the store so i go out to his car and jump on the back as a joke he starts the car and decides to start backing up but when he noticed me he slammed on the brakes and i lost my grip and fell off the back and hit my head then he accidentally hit the gas and ran me over he called the ambulance when the ambulance finaly arived i was in a seizure they took me to the hospital which assessed that i had a severe crack from the top of my skull to the back of my skull and my brain was hemotthaging and that I had to be move to the head trauma hospital which is a 2 hour drive so the decided to life flight me while on the helicopter I was sedated and this is when i legally died(heart and brain stopped functioning completely) all i remember from this part is that from this part is when the death happened it lasted for around 45 seconds and this is what i saw everything went black then everything went white then it went black againthis might not seem that great but like they say you see your entire life flash befor your eyes and i really did see everything all my wrongs and all my rights then after everything went black again i woke up to a man above me screaming he's back then they squeezed a bag and i went back to sleep woke up 2 days later in a hospital bed with my family surrounding me and tubes hanging out of my mouth the next day i was able to go home dead and back all in 45 seconds
So i guess i just want to see if anyone else has any experiences like this?

if you like what i got to say how bout some rep

No offense man but that is extremely hard to read because of your lack of punctuation marks...

When i was seven years old i was ran over by a car, kinda...... just got home from school. the neighbor kids were sledding next door. I threw my school bag on the ground and ran up the hill. unfortunitly if you went a little to far to the right you would end up sledding into the street. well thats what happend, timeing couldnt of been more perfect. slid right inbetween the front and the back tire on the sled and got caught under the car. driver swerved into the ditch. the only reason i am alive is beacause how that car slid into the ditch. nose first so all the pressure of the back of the car what i was under went into the air. the back shock assembly played basket ball with my head and cut me up pretty bad. total 5 weeks in the hospital, internal bleeding, no broken bones, 236 stitches all on my head.

You had a cracked skull and a brain hemorrhage and they let you go home the next day?

WTF kind of hospital were you at?

The other guy who got ran over was in the hospital for 5 weeks, and all he had were some cuts....

20 years ago I was on my way home from work. I worked at a florist and it was 2 weeks before Christmas. It was about 9:00 PM at night and frigid cold -20F with the wind chill factor. I was hit head on by a drunk that came over into my lane. There was a steep drop off on both sides of the road. He had apparently fallen asleep at the wheel. He was driving a Cadillac and I was driving a Buick. I went out from the impact. I came in and out while they were trying to free me with the jaws of life. They ended up having to peel back the top of my car like a can of sardines to get me out. My body was crushed from the waist down. 17 fractures including my pelvis, both ankles, left femur (compound fracture), left tibia (compound fracture)and left fibula (compound fracture). They said the only reason I didn't bleed out was that the dashboard had pinched my main arteries in my legs. I died twice in the ambulance on the way to the first hospital but they were able to bring me back. I can remember a feeling of weightlessness and floating above my body watching the EMTs working on me. They kept saying stuff like - We're losing him - no pulse - bag him, I've got a faint pulse but I can't get a pressure - hang in there buddy. Charge paddles - clear! That accident changed my life forever. 2 weeks in ICU - 30+ skeletal and reconstructive surgeries, 4 months in the hospital and a year in a hospital bed in my living room. It took me 3 years to learn how to walk again and I still need a cane if I am going any distance. One thing that I have learned is that there is only so much pain available and when you get to that point it becomes like white noise or buzzing from the injured areas. The first hospital that I was taken to (the closest one) told my wife to come into the er and tell me that if I lived through the night they would remove my left leg the next morning. She told them that she wasn't telling me that. After many phone calls, they stabilized my vitals and sent me to a better (larger) hospital. I met a wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon. He came in and said "are you a fighter?" I told him yes and he said this was not going to be quick or easy and I could still end up losing the leg to infection. The happy ending is that I still have my gnarly leg (both actually) and I am able to work full time at a desk job and grow my medicine at home. There is nothing like a near death experience to teach you how insignificant everything is. I am not afraid of anything and live each day to the fullest.

Some gangbanger tried to shoot me in the head. I ducked/leaned over sideways and took it through the shoulder. Then i left the area at a high rate of speed. Had 5 bullet holes in my truck and luckily just one in me. :)

The closest thing I've had was an accidental drug-overdose. Back about 5 years ago I was on this manic medicine called depacote(spelling?). I took(if I remember correctly), 500mg twice a day. Without telling me, my ex-psychologist quadrupled the dosage. Not shit...it was 2000mg pills. I was only supposed to take 1/2 a pill daily(the new prescription). The only problem is she never informed me of the change. So careless me took one that evening, one the next morning, and one that night. I had 6000mg of this shit in my system in a 24 hour period. I passed out and was rushed to the hospital to have the shit pumped out.

alright so yesterday i tried posting and had a really long post but the site wasnt working. did that happen to anyone else?

ill just sum up what i said. (i didnt read anyones responces just the main one)

i was just curious what dying was like. i think its natural to think of death as were only humans and our time will end. i imagine death to be like a night without dreams. you dont realize youre sleeping/alive/or anything.

do you have thoughts and emotions during this time of death? do you know whats going on? did you have a feeling of "god"?

When i finally came to it was about a week later, they put me into an induced coma. I had no memory of what happend nor for a good amount of time before the accident. But it felt like everything was okay yesterday...the strangest feeling of my life, but im also sure i was heavily medicated when coming out of the coma.

A few year later i started to have wierd dreams of laying on the oriental rug downstairs and talking to ems and say no not on the rug mom will be pissed, and this random stranger carrying me into my home. later after talking to my brother who had seen me mins before the accident and wasnt even a mile from the house when he got the phone call, told me that thoes were pretty much random details from after the accident to the hospital...so thats kinda cool/ wierd.

stoned ramble ftw

I remember saying to myself "not like this - are you kidding me?" After that I remember relaxing and not being worried about anything until I was back in my body. It was almost a relief for it (living) to be over. It is hard to describe.

if i were you id look into my dreams. that sort of stuff interests me. i really do believe SOME, not all, dreams are meant to tell you something.

one random ass dream i had once was abot me and my stepdad in my kitchen cutting up chicken talking bad about my uncle. he was living with us at the time. and before i even looked it up my general feeling about my uncle was that he was a big gossiper and stuff. and wouldnt you know it. i looked it up and thats one of the meanings of chicken in your dreams. looking up dreams has helped me out over the years. i believe its your subconcious trying to point you in the right direction. sometimes. cuz others i believe are just random events from your day.

I didnt die but i had a bad wreck in a cherry picker van and a low bridge. hit it at 30 - 40mph and stopped instantly throwing my face into the windsheild. Stabbing glass all in my forehead. It was a friday afternoon and my wkend was fucked. I went hospitol and was scanned to get the all clear and got sent home.
Thats the worst thankgod.

It was like a dream to be honest, all cloudy were the dust kicked up in the van. A friend was with me aswell. imagine 3 seats in a row, me driving and my friend by the window.
He was unfortunatly sitting in a sideways position faceing me, laughing and joking........... BANG.
van was a rightoff, and it wasn't mine!
I was gonna go for compo because the bridge never had height signs!
unfortunatly I'm a stoner and lazy as shite, haha
