I see. Yeah, successful cloning is all about immediacy. You have to give them perfect environmental factors instantly upon severing the branch. You are in essence killing it and bringing it back to life before necrosis (wilting) can take over. I haven't done it myself, but I've watched what my friends do, understand perfectly, and can duplicate what they have shown me. I just haven't done it yet... but plan to in the coming months.

From what I understand, a fancy cloner box with sprayers isn't even necessary. Just a plain ol' cutting/seedling tray with humidity dome with rockwool cubes. But playing around with water def helps the success rate.

Are you ready for an update? I know I'm ready to give you one.... I would have updated sooner but I'm an idiot stoner and lost the camera.... over and over and over again. I'd find it and set it out of the way of prying eyes and then forget where I put it.... typical  ...... LOL :bigjoint: so here we go! Some current photos! Girls are rocking out the nugs. I wish we had bigger plumping, but I try to keep in mind we are under CLFs here and I can't expect them to keep up with Jin's monsters! I did sneak in another bulb though. So far the heat hasn't increased more than a degree from it, but we're supposed to have a warm weekend so I'll be keeping an eye on temps all weekend long.

First off we've got Matanuska Thunderfuck. I love the way she smells! I swear it's like a java scent. Cappuccino weed!

Next up, the MK Ultra girls.

MKB poor girl is still recovering from her burn, but she's not letting it stop her!

Can you spot her twisted verigated leaf here? She does this whenever she has excess nutes. We saw it more often when she was in veg.

MKA Such a pretty plant! She takes abuse well!

V IS FOR VICTORY!!! My favorite bud formation lol

Cali "catpiss" Orange.... she smells just like cat piss, no joke! Not a smell I'm fond of personally... Her bud production is the highest in the group, but they're very leafy and not very resinated yet. Time will tell...

Brainey, oh how I love thee! She's on my favorites list for sure! Her trichs are already starting to show up cloudy and we just got some serious oranging of the pistils! Most likely first on the chopping block! I thought I took more pictures of her. I'll have to really highlight her next photo shoot! There may be an edit in the future of this post.

How awesome is this?

They're coming along. They just take a bit longer to ripen under the cfl's. They'll gain weight. You have great trich formation already, so potency is not going to be a concern.

Hi from rainy California! Damn, in a storm here this weekend and it's the first time the Seattle area has gotten up to 75 in 9 months. Heading to Reno Sunday, nicer there :-)

The girls are looking very nice!!

I use an old aquarium for clones. Chop, dip in cloning gel and stick in dirt. Put in aquarium (or dome covered tray) and spray/mist a couple times a day. On about day 3/4, start opening/uncovering for a few hours a day. Some will root faster than others.....by day 6-8 they are ready to take out.

I accidentally rooted MK in plain water once, took some cuttings and left them standing in water longer than inteneded....MK rooted very well.

Keep it up!!

Hopefully the next round will have a bit more tops. Plus, we're thinking of thinning, rather then trimming this next time around. We think that this round is suffering a bit from our extreme trim jobs.

Though, this is a learning experience, and the main point of the journal is to be able to reflect back on the things you did, and how you can do them better next time. And we're already heading that way. The plans for the next batch are to take clones with anything that goes over our 9 inch maximum height to allow room for the initial 2 week stretch in flower.

It's definitely going to be a shuffle...

It was a beautiful day, and It's supposed to be nice all weekend! I feel bad that you ran to Cali only to run into more rain! I mean, it's welcoming on a hot summer day, but dang.

We've tried the clip & dip method, but we seem to have issues with moisture. After the 3-4 days we start to get issues with rotting leaves here and there. We try to clip them if absolutely necessary, but we also don't want to stress the cuttings too much either.

I almost wonder if we're too worried about letting them get too dry. Our first cloning attempt ended in utter failure due to overexposure to air and over-moisturizing. We've been a bit worrisome since then >.>

I'm sure we'll get it down. Our hydroponic/bubbleponic/wtf-ever experiment sucked.

More time in dirt.

That's what we need.

Eventually we'll get it down :) We managed to get a batch of clones from the girls in flower, so it's not like we can't do it. We just need more practice.

Thank's for the appreciation. It means a lot. <3

Trying to establish that balanced, perpetual cycle to perfection is one of the more challenging aspects of growing. I can tell you're on a path to refinement and you'll get it dialed in perfectly soon enough, though.

Yes, I've done all the reflecting you speak of on my past seven grows. So as for this system I'm running here? I'd say I've done just about all I can with her, so she becomes a veg box for mothers... and I start a six plant undercurrent in a larger tent for flower. That has become my goal for improvement. Nothing more to make that cabinet better. I just gotta make my op just a little bigger... and establish a successful cycle for perp harvest. With the speed of the growth I've learned to harness, I think I could do pretty well. It also kind of made sense for me to get as much experience as I could with the cab/tub before trying anything bigger by way of perpetual.

Man aren't we overdue for an update! If it isn't one thing, it's another. Funny story... I had pictures all ready to go then my stoned ass spills tea on my keyboard, which at the time caused it to completely stop working :dunce:...... It's since dried out, but it's being very temperamental and will randomly stop working or get suck on a button, or for some reason F5...... So I do have pictures to share... but they're from a week ago and I have to make it brief, for fear that I'll have to re-enter everything due to this fucked up keyboard :wall::wall:

These are from 6/8
