Nano ballast - Super Tiny 1000w ballast. Weighs like 2.9 lbs.

I saw this one before: http://www.monstergardens.com/grow-lighting/digital-ballasts/ballast-by-wattage/1000-watt.html?page=shop.product_details&category_id=151&flypage=flypage-vmshopgreen.tpl&product_id=1706

Haven't heard any reviews/people using them, but this one just came out, which is less expensive and I think looks more attractive anyway--and I think has more features?:http://growershouse.com/xtreme-nano-1000w-digital-dimmable-ballast.html

Has anyone used one of these? Does anyone know anything about them? It looks like they work kind of like solis-tek ballasts how they kick lights on 15 seconds after each other as to no power surge your shit. That's one of the most attractive features to me, but I haven't used a solis-tek either...

Does anyone here know enough about ballasts to tell me whether they think these will be reliable or whether they might have a high failure rate? Says 5 year warranty, but then again, I just read the post about the 5 yr warranty failing Lumatek also on the front page right now. So, essentially: thumbs up or thumbs down?

Over and out

They look ok and have all the good features. As long as the warranty is legit sounds like a good deal to me.
I noticed it appears that the two you posted are from different company's. The second one seems to be more of a knock off of the first.
I deffinitly do like to see ballasts gettin smaller and lighter I currently still have a a bunch of heavy 15lb magnetic ballasts lol and even my digital lumatek is still kinda beefy and heavy

Yeah, I want to easily keep my ballasts off the floor (afraid of water damage) without hanging my ballasts on the wall worrying about them ripping off the drywall. I think I might have to be an early adopter on this one and just go for it!

Anyone have any feedback on these?
I'm looking at getting a couple 1000's, but any info on the 600's would be appreciated too!
Thanks!
