Name these 2 strains?

Just curious if anyone is able to identify these two strains I have atm. The Sativa is a nightmare, just grows long and lanky, no matter what I do. I veg with a 400 MH and bud with 400 HPS, keeping each light as close as possible to the plant without burning it. The sativa plant has to go on chairs and anything else that elevates it up.

I can say the sativa plant, when curing, has a distinct almost lemony pledge smell, almost mediciny I guess you could say, but I don't use any synthetic fertilizers, and the NHF ones I do use, I use at half strength, and I start flushing at least 2-3 weeks before harvest.

Normally, I have to tie the sativa to string and sticks just to keep it up, but it is a very good cloning plant. Every cutting roots within a few days, I never lose a cutting.

On the picture, you can see big gaps between nodes and fan leaves, but these fill up as the plant buds. These pictures were taken at 1 week under 12/12 after 3 weeks of vegging (after rooting). I normally get between 150-200 grams wet per sativa plant, and it can literally have as many shoots as I want it to have, it's just each shoot, while producing good amounts of bud, just become too flimsy and a real hassle to upkeep. I have to check on the plants often to make sure it hasn't fallen over. In fact, this plant, if not supported, will just bend over and touch the ground, each shoot, like a fern or whatever.

The Indica plant stays very small. If I put it under 12/12 at 8 inches tall, it will max out at around 14. It never doubles. The bud from it is AMAZING however. The one that's in the pic that was 8 weeks into 12/12, I got only 40 grams of wet (22 after dried and cured for a week). The only description I can think of for the smell of the bud is cream.

I am going to try and SoG type grow with the indica plant, putting maybe 8 under the 400 HPS, as the only bud sites are the top colas. Very little forms below, so a SoG or even SCRoG I think would be good for it. The sativa? Forget about it, that one gets bud sites from top to bottom. Normally, I cut the very tops at 9 weeks, then let the under growth buds go for another 2 weeks. If I try and 'tie the it down', I'll just end up with something resembling a cucumber plant.

Now to my original question...I hope it is possible for someone, anyone, to help me identify these strains with this information and pictures The top shot is of the sativa. If not, thanks anyway!

The sativa plant also seems to grow 'balls' between 10-14 days in 12/12 which later open up and turn into buds. The first time I saw this, I thought it had hermied, but each one I've done does the exact same thing. They are like little female balls I guess. I dunno, it's a weird plant. I have some seeds left, and was going to try and cross the two, hoping to get a bigger version of the indica, but around 8 out of 10 seeds I germinate and grow turn out to be female, so it will be difficult finding a male (I've used the seeds twice, grew 10 plants, and literally only got 2 males, which were beautiful to look at, but had to be killed for the greater good).

I would really like to know if anyone knows roughly what strains these 2 plants are. I was originally told the indica was Purple Kush, but a) it doesn't go purple at all and b) isn't Purple Kush more of a sativa? This indica is PURE indica it seems. Just stops growing up after a few weeks.

I've seen your comments before Ganjapussy, and from what I remember, you're normally very helpful. I barely ever post on here because I simply don't feel I'm 'advanced' enough to consider any of you growers colleagues. With that being said, it would be nice to get some help though for a noob.

Well first off. I've never seen a purple strain that showed purple in veg. Most do in flower. Some not at all. Purple tints are sometimes caused by colder dark periods. I grew blue mystic, 1 got blue the last few weeks of flower. Some didn't go blue at all.
As for strains I could not tell you from a non flowering plant. I know what all types of bud look like, from your guess you could be right. One indica, one sativa. But that doesn't mean anything. They could be both indica, we don't know. Alot of times you will buy seeds from breeders and won't actually get the seeds you thought you got. In this case, at least you got a name. So your not asking this question with a bagseed grow. In any case, your best bet is too go with with the name they came with. And save the headache, intill AFTER you harvest. And then take the headache away with your new smoke man. It's all gravy

And RIU is for EVERYONE. I don't care if your the new kid on the block, or your just a mentally retarded person can't who can't get to the site. We all care in some way, because it's all for what we all love best. And we can't help but smoke weed and chat, most of the time though dude. It's just the people who ask the same questions over and over again who don't get questions answered. (not saying you) just that most people need to do a little research before they jump in this. And nice plants, I was just fucking with you before anyways LOL

The plant in the old kitty litter box is the indica after 9 weeks. Do you think you could tell by looking at dried bud? (The sativa goes very brittle) The indica, which I was told was Purple Kush and given 2 clones, never went purple at all, not even after 9 weeks 12/12. And the bud from it, well, is better than gravy! I wish we could burn one and maybe then you'd know lol. I'd like to burn one with a lot of you guys on here regardless.

Before we get to the strain name I gotta ask, why is this so important?
Back when I was selling dope I preferred getting bud that didn't have a name. Cause then I could name it what I wanted. All of a sudden everyone on the block is smoking gods pubes (which was that same fire they smoked last week)

I'd just like to know to so I could try and find some tricks and the best ways to grow each plant. I've literally looked at thousands and thousands of pics of strains, and the closest I could get with the sativa was White Widow (I was wrong about the PK btw, it's indica with a bit of sativa). I'm also just a very curious person by nature, but with anything I do, I like to know as much about it as possible.

And hey, thanks for the nice words about the plants. I was scared to post the pics up because I wanted to protect my girls from criticism lol!

Another reason I'd like to know is because I have had 2 heart attacks (first when I was 32, and second at 35) and would like to know what medicinal properties beyond my own experiences these two plants have. I will say dope has saved my life. My heart attacks were 100% hereditary (my cholesterol level was over 14 ratio, 3-4 being normal), and since I became chronic and quit smoking, my cardiologist has said whatever I've been doing, keep doing it. Unfortunately, doctors in my area are NOT up to snuff in terms of medicinal marijuana (I'm in Niagara Region, Canada). So my curiosity is not just for 'curious reasons', but for my life, so to speak.

The sativa was from seeds a friend of mine had he said he had bought at the Seed Bank in Niagara Falls, but he had them in a baggy that wasn't labeled (true pot head) and couldnt remember what was what (he had quite a few). The indica I got 2 clones, and raised them like they were my own. I will say the indica is very hard to clone. I obviously have a 100% success rate, but it can take almost a month to root them, whereas the sativa takes a few days.

I've seen both of those types of weed floating around here in the northwest.

Now I will give you the strain names, but you have to promise me you will take this link >http://www.nirvanashop.com/en/
And order some real seeds. Grow these out. Love them like there your kids, and after you harvest these seeds and you got the moms and all that. Ditch this weed. Because no one needs that. A patient with your needs, needs a little stronger strain... Can you do this for me?

For sure. What strains would you recommend? I have PTSD as well because during my first heart attack, we called 911 and they told me to save myself 45 bucks and drive myself to the hospital. The paramedics left me at home to die because they were convinced I was going through coke withdrawal (I was and am again in good shape, but back when I had the first heart attack, I was bouncing and owned a nutrition store). In spite of my protesting, they left me at home. Then, after I had cardiac arrest at the hospital, the put in drug dipped stents, which are worse for a smoker than no stent at all (I smoked for almost 20 years, and they knew this). When I had my second MI, the doctors were shocked that they gave me those stents. And of course, all 4 were 100% blocked in 3 years.

There's a never ending horror story to this that continues today, the govt steals my money to pay off my student loans, evenm though I'm on permanent disability, have tried to go back to work 4 times, and I had paid off $30,000 of the loans (I still owe around $27,000). So I get anxiety attacks often lol.

When I first started buyin from nirvana, I went through every single strain and looked them all up, to see what would help best. I love northern lights, and white rhino. But that's me. Since then I moved to autos. And right now I have blue mystic auto, low Ryder, and NL going.

I can tell you the sativa strain you have has skunk in it. The indica strain you have is more just chilling out yes? You see it alot of times at parties we call it pumkin weed. Due to so many orange hairs.

Idk man I'm just a regular guy. USA sucks, but, so does everywhere else. So I keep my head up high. And don't give a fuck. I'm going to bed but feel free to roam around. RIU is fresh.

Peace and love homeboy

Thanks brother. The sativa I'll call Skunk Pledge lol. The indica is a really good high though. Lasts a few hours and relaxes the shit outta me. Maybe after I get new seeds, you can help me out with doing a sog or scrog type grow? And thanks again for taking the time to help me out. Means a lot to me!

Hey MP,

There are some sites where you can search strains by their medical attributes, like www.leafly.com.

Also, some breeders do an excellent job of describing medical attributes, including Subcool. You can look at his strains at www.TGAgenetics.com.

I've chosen 4-5 strains from TGAgenetics that are specific to alleviating anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar condition and depression. All have different characteristics that make them good for day (energizing high) or night (sleepy stone, good for pain). I'm actually growing these for my boyfriend who suffers from a host of issues, as you can see. For myself, I'm just growing Jillybean, which is a happy, social high.

Since you have issues you're trying to treat, you have to stop growing seeds of unknown identity. You need to know what you're getting. What I like about TGA is that in the descriptions you can see the sativa/indica percentage, the parentage configuration and the description of the high outcome. So if you want to intensify one of those attributes, you can look for the next strain over in terms of sativa/indica percentage, or a slightly different parentage configuration, and then the description of the high reflects those changes. I never want paranoia or too trippy, so I automatically exclude those. I do want anti-anxiety and motivation. So I choose those. And I picked a small spectrum so my boyfriend has some variety and can choose his medication according to his needs and time of day.

Get methodical! And that includes knowing the genetics of your strains...

Good luck!
