I got my grow journal going in the LED section but wanted to stop in her and ask some opinions on what's going on with this plant.

A little background:

Grown under an LED (onyx bloom by rapid) in 5 gallon Hempy buckets (coco perlite mix). They have been scrog vertically through cages and are about 6 weeks into flower.
Strain is purple kush from crop king (and hashplant but no issues with that plant).

Nutes: GH maxibloom with extra cal added.

Ph is adjusted to 5.9 and water is changed every 3 days.

The plants are looking healthy except the one PK. It started to claw about 9 days ago and is getting some real purple leaves (without the clawing I'd assume genetics but now it is turning almost a purple browish colour. Almost similar to potassium def if I'm not mistaken). All 3 plants get the same water but only the one is stressed.

Anyways, here are some pictures. Not sure if I can do much at this point but I can learn for next time. I cut back on nutes but it hasn't helped much.

Any thoughts

What happens to your runoff water?
What does your magnesium and B-vitamins come from?
Only saying incase you do ..don't just flush like crazy all at once either take it steady day by day spread out
I run coco and get curly leaves with some strains but I also use organics so my version of a flush is one day plain with humic and b1 next day normal water with everything in it repeat about 3 times getting extra runoff around 30-40% each time
You gotta take the transitions easy on coco so you don't damage the CEC
Looks great I wudnt worry just KISS, personally if i were u id boost a little harder especially in coco don't worry what leaves look like too much its bud size and potency we need. curious you ppm ec in and out reads ph too

Thanks for the response.

I've just been adding Epsom salt @ a half tablespoon per gallon (every other water) and a strong dose of magic cal every water because I'm scared with both the coco and LED and issues I've had in the past with cal def while using those two.

Ph in.is 5.9, usually it'll swing up to 6.3 when I measure my run off. My tds meter is garbage, I'll have to order a new one right away. I'm feeding light (3/4 teaspoon per gallon) which is low but everytime I juice them up I start getting burnt tips and i end up diluting it down. The smallish buds probably has more to do with the light and the space. I should have 2 lights in there for proper coverage, but I still think it'll be a somewhat decent yield.

Cheers

Yeah your totally good but id highly reccomend genorgs CaMg+ its derived from fermented molasses just calcarb and magcarbonate over epsom any day. I think i nailed it, switch those calmags and u only need to max out at 2tsp pergal the whole way thru flower, my coco is always amended with fine dust dololime and serious humic content. Those are good ph in and outs but i think that calmag i reccomended will get your out closer to your in. Salty stufff tends to go one way or the other on the outs im too picky for that. Btw u runnin RO? Whats ur tap look like?

Yes sir, running RO. Really hard tap water where I live. I am going to check out the calmg that you recommended, I'm actually running low on supply of.magic cal so I don't even have to waste anything.

Thanks again for the help and feedback. Always nice to be able to bounce ideas off of others.

Cheers!

mosdef, lmk how you like it... Also id never give plain RO to coco, water needs to be at least EC 0.4 in veg and 0.6 in flower... Use the calmag i suggested to do that

also, if you get a humic powder concentrate(50% or more humic) use a half teaspoon/gal on 'plain waterings to increase your uptake, this is also what i amend my coco with at least one teaspoon/gal of coco mix

Yeah im just thinking of your future crops... Btw an example of my 'plain water' at EC 0.6 is as follows just to give you an idea, rather than just camg i like to make a well rounded mix: 1-2mL/gal AO 5-10-5 bloom
2mL/gal AO 3-3-2 fish and seaweed
1tsp/gal AO 0.3-0.25-0.15 Kelp
1tsp/gal AO 1-0-0 help w/b1
1tsp/gal technaflora 0-0-1 Thrive Alive B1 Green
2mL/gal GenOrg 0-0-0-5-1 CaMg+

Just to get an idea of a well rounded 'plain' watering for in between the real feeds. this mix comes out to EC 0.6 with my tap water but my tap comes out 30ppm so its very clean, i prefer tap over RO if its clean enough. Used to use RO but it diminished my yields compared to tap.

For feedings bump the CaMg+ up to 2tsp/gal in flower. This 'plain' formula can be used for feeding veg plants almost the whole way through
