Myles is back looking to do it big

Hey guys I left RIU for a wile and in that time have been without a grow and havent smoked at all. I am now looking to start a fully legal medical grow op and need everyone's help and advice.

I am still looking at grow spaces so havent decided on one space yet but will in the next week. Fromt here I will be buying all my supplies and getting the build on.


I will be looking to use 600 watt HPS and a few 400 watt MH mixed in for the flower room. Total wattage will depend on the space and plant count but will have at least 1600 watts and 10 plants staggered. 5 harvested each month. Probably more like 4 600 watters and 2 400 watters

I am debating on my ventialtion setup and need help big time. the hoods will be air cooled but I am not sure whether I should pull the warm stinky air from the room through a carbon filter thent hrough the hoods and out the room or have a seperate air line coming into the room straight into the hoods and then out with another line to exhaust and clean the rooms air.

also thinking about ozone generator instead of carbon filters, anyone who can help me with personal experience with the two? I cant have smell escaping the room.

The plants will be grown using a recirculating DWC bucket system with a rez that each will be connected to. I will build the systems one for each staggered group so the nutrients can be different depending on phase of flowering.

Thinking of storing RO water in a 55 gallon drum with a float valve and using this water for the whole grow.

The veg chamber will consist of mothers in soil or maybe coco. Not sure if I will root cuts in rockwool or use an aero or bubble cloner. Whatever gives me great results with the least amount of work.

Undecided on nutrients line but would like advice in this. Want a simple line that is easy to regulate and the dosages wont burn the plants.

Ill have pictures as I go but seriously, any advice is wanted and welcomed. I want this to be done right.

I was looking into ozone generators as well, although i did go with a carbon filter, I still am thinking of picking one up

thanks for the info, that was a good read. I am heavily leaning on an inline ozone generator for the exhaust duct. No replacing carbon filters and having their effectiveness slowly lower as time goes by.

they are a bit pricey but whats a few hundred dollars to save me money in the long run

so i picked my spot today. the flower room is roughly 10 x 8. i will use a tent for the vegging for the time being. I may build a more legit room down the road. pics will come once i have the rooms secured and begint he setup.

How many plants/buckets should i put in there? I am not looking to grow the plants very tall, mostly looking to top and LST to get low medium sized bushes. maybe two 4 bucket systems?

and how do you guys suggest i grow the clones in veg? should i use DWC tubs with multiple plants per tub or maybe a 4 bucket DWC system to get them up to size for the flower room? was going to root them in rockwool as it is so easy and cheap and still debating keeping the mothers in hydro or a soil.
