They are great, but just make sure you have air intake and outtake running. They can get hot and bake a plant real quick. I have one, but I wish I bought mine before I built my room, I would have just went with a big one. That way you can take it with you when you move.

My wife just asked me should we buy a tent or build out the room with 2x4s and panda film. From what you are saying...sounds like tent.

Yeah if you want something you can keep no matter where you live go with a tent. You can also easily take it down and hide it if needed.

I bought mine from Yescom and it was very high quality and easy to put together. They sell on ebay for under 100 for a tent that would fit 2-4 plants.

Theres 2 manufactures to consider when looking at quality in tents, HomeBox and Secret Jardin, HomeBox were the original tent developers, there old range of silver mylar tents was solid, they now have a kick ass range of tents called GrowLab, i run a 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m tent of this, it has viewing windows so you dont even have to open your tent to see your crop, the tent material is high quality along with the zippers being good quality, the only downfall i found with GrowLab is the stitching in some spots ( due to high volume manufacturing ) is rather ordinary, overall i rate HomeBox GrowLab an 8 outta 10.
Secret Jardin tents are by far the most superior in quality along side all those on the market, there not cheap but like another member stated if you want something that will last and you can take with you wherever yo go, Secret Jardin is the way to go, i also run a 2.4m 1.2m x 2m flower tent of this brand. 9/10 worth every cent.

I recently purchased a 2x2x6 Mylar grow tent from a local shop. The tent came along with a deal in a pre-recommened setup. So I bought it for $600 I got the tent a bag of Coconot Medium godd for 12-2 gal pots, A hood(No glass tube or glass shield on it though so I vent with A 6 inch duct fan that I hang right below the bulb)I also got a 600w HPS light with digital balast. A good exhaust fan and some buckets. So I spent a pretty penny but it was easy to set up and like mentioned I can easily move it or make it a module system later. So what I do have to warn though is this. FIRST when I bought this I had no Idea that a 600W HPS would make it a rotisserie. So I had a major heat problem at first. So be aware if you do get one of these (Which I do actually recommend especially for the Mobile grower or the grower who can only put in a lil money at a time into their grow) that the best idea is to get a hood that has a glass tube around your bulb that you can exhaust directly from the bulb. As well as a good source of fresh air and an interal fan (i just use a clip on oscillating fan) to give your plants a good amount of fresh ciculating air. I'm in arizona and our outside temp is about 68F so this will only get worst for me(until summer comes and I turn my A/C back on that I've already tapped for cooled air if I need it.)
GOOD LUCK AND GOOD GROWING EVERYTHING
