Mycorrhizae in hydroponics..?

Hello,
I read a very interesting artical in Urban Garden Magazine about Mycorrhizae. It seems that it could really improve my root growth and efficiency. I am however using G.H. Waterfarms. I picked up some Plant Success Granular Mycorrihizae.

Im just curious exatly how to use it most efficiently. On the bottle it seems to only explain for soil. Should I just let it dissolve in my nute solition? Or I also heard of putting it in a small plastic container with some pin holes near the top to let it dissolve out slowly..or I could just sprinkle some over the clay pebbles and let the drip system disolve it down over the roots..?

I am curious which method would be best and if anyone has anything to say about Mycorrhizae in general.

Thank you for your time and happy growing. :bigjoint:

Sure would be nice to have some input on using this stuff before I do, but I guess no one around here has any experience with it either..oh well I guess I'll just learn for myself..

I use the stuff. I add a tsp of it to 5 gallons of nutrient solution, every other feeding. I think it helps root health and improve yields. The biggest thing i've noticed is that my res is clean, no algae.

I use a different brand myco grow but it is likely similar. I have done a lot of experiments with it. I found that the Ph of my nutes goes up faster with it than with out it. My res and root balls smell better. I do not see better growth with it in my hydroponic system. I do see better growth in my outdoor vegtable garden. People say my outdoor vegtable garden looks like its on steroids compaired to the neighbors. I think that in hydro your nutes are already 100% available to the plant so you cant increase the nutrient availability beyond that. I tried the stuff in a aero-garden with some herbs in it and it was a big mistake. If you get some coco-coir and mix it with some of that fish fertilizer, or maybe some worm castings, and mix a little of the stuff in and wait a week you will see the fungus filiments growing. That is a good way to test if the stuff you purchases is alive still. Doesn't a waterfarm use those gro rocks? I dont think those would work so well. For the spores to grow and thrive you need an environment where they can thrive. A salt bath in gro-rocks is just not that enviroment.
