My young pot plant looks extremely healthy yet is growing slowly and very bushy

Yea i don;t water the whole circumference of the pot, only the soil in close proximity of the plant. But yea i also think i'm over watering due to the dark green leaves. I water it about once day, in addition to foliar feeding by spraying sterile water on the leaves, but no fertilizer in the water. My plant's leaf color is starting to turn and fade to a lighter green....is that a good thing? I'm laying off the foliar spraying (which is just sterile water from a faucet that's been sitting out for 24+ hours) for a while or limit the amount of times i do it a day. I'll have today's pics up later on. The plant seems to be gaining some height off of the 20/4 light schedule i switched it to 2 days ago, from the previous 24/0 light cycle.

The temperature is at a constant 75 degreesduring lighting hours and temperature is around 72 degrees when lights are off, give or take a few degrees. Given the dimensions of my grow space i really only have room for 1 healthy plant and my choosing of light is cfl's due to the fact i can regulate them easily and wont be afraid of fire issues or heat issues as i would with hps or M/H lighting.

I'm not sure how i would re-arrange the lights in a square position. I like the idea of it, and it just makes sense as far as emitting the most possible light on the plant due to the positioning of lights in a square. Given my set up and how my light fixtures are laid over the bar above the plants might be hard to configure that. Do you have any suggestions to as how i could go about doing that? Would it benefit the plant that much if i were to do that?
well that's your problem! roots need to search for water to expand, you're giving them a straight shot of water right in the middle, the top growth will mimick the rooth growth shape in the soil.. if anything just water the perimeter but id recommend watering the whole thing thoroughly.

Alright my camera is temporarily out of service. I'm waiting on a new battery to arrive which should come tomorrow. I haven't watered the plant in a day and a half and the leaves are perking up and is looking alot healthier. Its grown to about 9 1/2 inches

Its been a few days since i uploaded any pics...but here they are!

The plant is 10 inches tall and recovered within less than a day from shock after transplanting it to a larger pot.

I got all my lighting for flowering, including fertilizer. Should i wait a bit longer before i switch her over to 12/12 or would i be able to start in a day or so?

Today's pics and i just started into the flowering stage today. And started her off with 1/2 strength bloom nutes (miracle-gro bloom booster 15-30-15). i'm starting the flowering sooner because i want to start a new fresh beautiful plant. This plant isn't growing to my liking, although smells very potent.

New pics are up

I just moved my girl (hopefully) into flowering stage and the light cycle is set at 13/11 for various reasons that i heard were beneficial for this light cycle versus the standard 12/12.

I also constructed the top or cover if you may call it right above the lights. I did this to hopefully have a higher concentration of light penetrating through the canopy given its thickness and bushiness. I also started tying strings to some of the main branches to pulled them away from the main stalk to encourage more light to get to the inner nodes.

Any comments or suggestions on my progress would be great!

Make sure you keep a tight light schedule... Are you using a timer?

What are your room temps now?

I would start her on 1/3 strength for nutes and work my way up. Prepare to start moving your lights up...she will stretch like crazy,

been having problems with my blue cheese growing up againt the light every night. Havent done 13/11, keep an eye out for pistils on her main stalk.. they will shoot towards the top first.

I'm on a consistent 13/11 light schedule and it's set on a timer and all.

The room temps are consistently 75 during the day and 72 at night.

I'm currently giving the plant 1/2 strength ferts and its seems to be taking it just fine.

up until now i have always used 24/0... after much reading online and researching and talking with people on here i am going to switch to 20/4.... so thats what i will recommend... it wont affect anything... wont delay flowering.. what it will do is cause a little stretching... when there is no light the plants will stretch upwards reaching for light... i always thought this stretching was bad.. but what the stretching does do is allows more light to penetrate into the plant and the canopy itself.. the more light the penetrates through = the more light your plant can use = the happier the plant is = the more growth that occurs = the larger the yield at harvest... imho i would switch, but i in no way have proof of this through my own experience yet.. but the logic is there, and i have read about many people who have already tested different cycles and there findings and comparisons.. again thats why i myself am switching...
but i think either way in about a week your plant will start exploding with growth.. i have had the same experiences your having now with wider growth vs taller growth over the first couple weeks.. after which my plants explode up and out even more...
man you are right.thats what happened to me too with 24/0.20/4 i think is perfectly balanced.distance is good for air too.

You should think of doing LST on her, I did it to mine and they are loving the CFLś I'm growing 2 of them with 6 lights and 2 fluorescents [Here is the link] and I would keep the lights were they are, just don't water it for a day or two and she how she gets, also give her some CO2 what I read, and did with a couple of changes was I grabbed a 1 litter bottle and I put like a half cup of sugar with warm water steered it up and then I put like warm water not to the top but a little bit lower and I added Yeast for making bread I put like a spoon or two, start with one and see if doesn't over flow from bubbling, then I grabbed aluminum foil and I covered all the bottle except for the top, that's for the mix will be dark and warm, so the heat will push out the co2 since it's heavier then Oxygen I think. and change it every 2 or 3 days I would also put like a little cone out of aluminum foil and tape it around the top, in case it overflows a little bit, it won't get on the plants. And your girl just looks a little over water but still healthy... so best of luck!

I personaly am new to the grow to i have a plant that is ridicoulesly bushy i cant get it to do nothing i personaly like the way it looks atleast you know it will hold its weight with no hangin branches and the buds will be very fat if a female im running 9 ,26watt daylight cfls on a 24/0 time for all veg state so i think we have a little in common as soon as i can get pics up i will post for you to see and its def. a indica keep up the good work il keep in touch as i would like to see how your grow goes

im growing a single plant, have a couple seeds germinating, but we had a problem since the birth of this one plant. it grew very tall at an extremely young age i think that happened cus of the height of the lights. but now im taking care of it, it used to be my roomates, and ive noticed it hasnt grown very much it has been over 2 months and it is around 8 inches tall and has 6 sets of leafs, the leaves per set. the lowest set is very dry the next set is alot closer to the rest of em but is turning yellowish i want this plant to explode in growth. its in a 2 litre soda bottle .plant looks strong.

Im sure the MG soil isnt helping them much. The curling/disformed leaves look like a ph problem tho, I would test your water. The last place I lived was around 9... not fun when you dont know.
