my topped plant wont grow upward

This is my first grow and my first plant that i topped. in the first picture, i cant tell if the leaves i am holding back with fingers are the new growth or little ones in the center?

it seems to just be growing like crazy but not getting any taller. i topped it 7 days ago today and the plant is 16 days old since sprouting

haha ok. i guess i was just paranoid because it really hasnt gotten taller in the last week but thats probably because i topped it.

Yeah growing a plant from beginning to end is along process just take it easy. Your new tops will take off soon enough.

Ya...give it some time. It will do its thing here pretty soon. Its like chopping off your pinky, its gonna take time to heal and move on. :-)

Yeah dont worry the first topping stuns it severely. Give em about two weeks and they'll bush out. What I like to do is wait till the stems branch out, tie them down then keep the lights right on top of them, two more weeks raise the lights then theyll grow up, two weeks then top again and repeat the process. This will make your plant look like an Octopus this is my technique hence the name Dr. Octopus. Check out my grow journal im about 4 weeks ahead of ya.

like chopping off the tip of your pinky, and man when it heals you've got yourself a strong, badass little nub
