Hope this time it works alright...If it doesn't then this thing is definitely not for me.

I have a white widow 2013 from rhinoseeds and this si the result so far 2013-10-13 13.59.50.jpg2013-10-13 13.58.58.jpg

It's been two weeks so far and it got burned when it was in the box i guess. Any advices on how to put a fan and more bulbs in it or maybe put smaller bulbs in the box are greatly appreciated.

peace :leaf:

What are you using? I don't see a single fan for air intake or ventilation. Do you have any PC fans laying about?

No PC fans or anything out there. I need to find something on ebay but have to find a way to make it socket connectable and maybe make a hole on the bottom/back side of the box.

P.S. I have just replanted the plant and put it in a bigger box

You are going to have to invest a few dollars if you expect to harvest some smoke.

I'm running 12v PC fans. Used 1 transformer to power 4 fans at once. I'm sure you could find a transformer for under 10 and fans are a dime a dozen. Cutting holes you can mark the fan area and drill it out. Lots of small holes will equal one big hole if you drill the line you mark out. Take a file and smooth out the opening for a nice finish. A half round file will do the job nicely.

EDIT: info you're looking for: Run that light across the top, throw an exhaust fan at the top corner, intake at the bottom, and a small fan to circulate air around the box.

Really the only thing you need to grow decent smoke is proper air flow, proper lighting, proper temps, and some food for the plants.

For proper air flow, a passive intake and an active exhaust at the top of the cab with a pc fan will work. That handles moving air in and out of the box. Then it's just a matter of blowing a very light breeze on your babies so they develop strong stocky stems.

Next up is proper lighting. In a stealth cab, you can get away with one or two 100w CFL's. They're surprisingly strong in output. If you get a full spectrum bulb you'll be set. Space blankets (2 bucks at Wally World) can be used as a replacement for mylar, or flat white paint (space blanket is cheaper).

For proper temps, this is the tricky part. Stealth grow boxes have heat issues, which is why making sure your exhaust is made. The stronger the exhaust, the less heat in your cab.

Aside from that, there are a few other things you can do to save money on the cheap. In terms of water pH, you can use lemon juice for pH down or baking soda for pH up. Alternatively, you can get a brita water filter (i have a pitcher) and not worry about pH forever. Odor can be controlled with ONA or a custom made carbon air filter (tons of cheap diy setups on the net. Gotta find which one works best for you).

For plant ferts, I don't use any cannabis specific fertilizer (because I'm a cheapskate). Alaskan Fish Emulsion is like 10 bucks and gets the job done. Flowering ferts aren't too expensive either (Dyna-Gro or Alaskan Morbloom for example).

All in all, you can probably build all of this on the cheap. All the extra stuff will go into increasing the quality of your bud or making your stealth box stealthier.

You got this.

An PC Fan makes a good exhaust fan.

Do NOTplug anything in a power outlet yet!!!

Clip off the connector from the FAN. Clip off the connector (Cell Phone End) from the charger, peel back the insulation from both the FAN and Cell phone Chargers RED and BLACK wires. Connect Red to Red, and Black to Black. Wrap them around one another repeatedly. Insure you have electric tape, shrink tubing or other form of insulation to keep the moisture out. Now don't use duct tape, masking tape, or other forms of adheasive tape. Do NOTplug the cell phone charger in untill you have the electrical tape around the ends of the connected wires. If the FAN has any other color wires, just put electrical tape over it, and wrap a piece around the end to seal it off.
Good Luck! 8)

i have bought a fan(+energy controler roller and socket) and i'm thinking of fitting a new mylar in the box. Though i will need some tips on what duck tape to use to make it perfectly because obviously the duck tape is not the best deal. I'm also thinking of putting a new bulb into it. thanks to everyone :leaf: :peace:

your plant is looking great dude, but I think you should get a can of spray adhesive and tack down that mylar, you could accumulate moisture behind which could lead to mold. I was lazy and let it happen once- the mold spread to my soil and killed part of the root system effectively killing my plant.

as far as duct tape goes I would recommend good ol' DUCK brand or you could use foil tape which is designed for this sort of thing, they are about the same price. Although the duct tape is easier to work with and you can get cool colors/ designs.
... Stay away from "NASHUA" it's junk... trust me I do HVAC professionally

Replying from my phone so this'll be short n sweet with tons of typos.
She's doing great considering her situation. I would suggest a couple r things as priority though.
She needs much better lighting at the very least another bulb and both set up above her rather than the other side of the room. In my opinion she could also do with a much bigger pot. Maybe something like a big plastic food container which isn't too high but takes up a lot of your floor space. If we can figure out a way to get another light out two above her though. I think you'll see dramatic results. As for the mylar, I say bin it an paint the box white, that reduces the hassle to zero. Good luck man. Will sub to this when I'm back on the pc.

It is possible to put another bulb in it, but the shit problem is that my landlord saw it and mentioned something like: I saw something that should not be there.

Though I would invest in the coming weeks into the same bulb i guess. I have replanted it yesterday and as I can see from your post you suggest something more like horizontally orientated pot, rather than these tall ones.

Isn't there going to be a problem with the white paint as the material of the box is plastic.

I am considering drilling 2 holes for the bulbs at the top, and drilling one into the corner for the fan, as it might take less space and the airflow can come out freely as well.

Thank you for your support guys :leaf:
