My third time around with 600 watt hps

thanx for the notice man.. just realized that i forgot to mention today i finally decided to hell with my dryer vent.. its my new fresh air intake (since i didnt have one) and omg... for one the temps in my room are now cooler than the rest of the house (outside the flower area) rest of the house is at 18-20 c
and just sitting my face in front of the vent... so nice FRESH air hehe its a 4 inch pipe thats i've temporarily attached a lil pc fan to.. though this may be all i need (as far as temps are concerned) and in the 11 months i've been growing this is the FIRST time ive ever had real fresh air.. (this was my original plan for moving into my laundry / storage room

this is very temporary, i only set it up today to see if there was any dif.. and man... there IS def more to follow

damm i wanted to use my dryer vent but then i would have to do laundry somewhere else haha and im one broke ass motherfucker till my babies are done woooooooo man i cant wait to see this thread later. thats my female in my avatar take a look at my male 30in tall from the back 130 german import haha i cant wait to breed and make mo dollas.

the next 4 are my last seedlings (whats left of 20) they look not bad pretty small for day 27 there is the big one there.. the freak of the bunch (god i hope its female) i had it at 24/0.. then 18/6 then 12/12 when he was to small (learned sumthin) then back into 18/6. I would like to know what he/she is.

i think i like the 18/6 shedule. Seems like my plants grow faster. dont have much total experience though i actually tried to record the growth with a laptop and webcam but the webcam stopped working 3 hours in.

This time around my clones rooted in 9 days (3 of 5 )(last ones were 15 days to get 2 out of 5) i used gel instead of powder, took smaller clones, and took more care in making the environment healthier (cleaned it up, cooled it down)

Gettin crowded in my veg chamber. i do have a second t8 32 watt 2 bulb fixture not in use.. but my plants are loving the 150 hps. Lots of ideas i'll probably do something this week.

I'm changing my grow area to a dif room where i can have proper ventilation/more space the area will now me 39 inches deep, approx 8-9 feet long, 7.5 feet high (dont think my hps lights will be enough for it.. but i'm considering having a fluorescent 2 bulb 4 foot in each chamber in addition to each hps ie 150 watt hps + 4 foot fluorescent + 1-4 18 watt 2 foot fluorescent for vegging and 600 watt hps + 4 foot fluorescent for flowering

trying to set it up so that it'll be cooler than my current max temp (84 degrees at hottest) down to like 70-75 range but not use any additional equipment (dont think this will be an issue as i think i'm using to much to cool the current space)

what am i using? heres the whole deal

3 50 cfm bathroom exhaust fans
1 150 watt hps
1 600 watt hps
1 12 inch fan
1 18 inch fan
4 15 watt 16 inch fluorescents
2 18 watt 24 inch fluorescents
2 4 foot 2 bulb x 32 watt each bulb fluorescents <-- 112 watts total
1 5 inch high powered pc fan (not sure cfm )
1 3 inch regular pc fan

the room is incredibly messy atm i'll get that fixed up though no worries.

So i decided not to go to bed and just redid everything.. threw it up in a few hours so most likely i'll be doing more tweaking.

Need to paint the black poly white /cleans things up but i'm to tired now.

Flower room Temps Are : at 24-25c --> 75 - 77 degrees with lights on and thats with 1 x 18 inch fan(blowing on plants), 1 air purifier (just cuz i had one), 1 x 3 inch fresh air intake (50 cfm) getting direct from outside fresh air, and one exhaust (also 3 inch ) currently exhausting into just the room
Never really had a prob with smell b4 as i've usually only had 2 plants ready at flower at any given time but now with the 5 30 + inch plants i'm noticing way more odour so i will most likely read threw some of the treads here and do up a diy carbon filter. sounds easy enough.

Veg room temps are : 25-26 -->77-79 degrees with lights on 18/6 shedule. i have 1 x 12 inch fan blowing on the plants + 1 3 inch 50 cfm exhaust

Today i put up a couple reflectors and i painted a 4x6 sheet of ply white to TEMPORARILY reflect on the black poly side. I noticed the black poly was eating my light, makes quite a dif. i'm fairly happy now with the veg room in terms of light..(very bright up in there)

Veg room = 3 x 15 watt tube fluorescents + 1 x t8 2 bulb fixture 4 feet 64 watts 4100k + 150 watt HPS = 109 watt fluorescent + 150 watt HPS
Flower room = 2 x 18 watt tube fluorescents + 1 x t8 2 bulb fixture 4 feet 64 watts 4100k + 600 watt HPS = 100 watt fluorescent + 600 watt HPS

NUTES everything in my veggy room is getting 1/4 strength every other watering
everything in flower is getting 1 teaspoon of gro, 2 teaspoons of micro, 3 teaspoons of bloom (per gallon) using general hydroponics 3 part system

cO2 yes i talk to my plants all day everyday Of the 4 times i've grown i've never had an actual fresh air intake until about a week ago and my plants looked healthy b4.. i cant speak for size though each time i grow i get better and the plants get bigger

PH I checked my ph for the first time ever a few days ago with a lil tester kit i got and the color was green and according to the chart its between 6-7 this is straight distilled tap water (let sit for 24 hours) (i was told when i first started that our local water was good for growing but for the sake of the journal and doing things remotely proper, i checked it)

WATER i water every other day and i give nutes every other watering (in other words Mon - water with nutes / Tue no water / Wed plain water/ Thu no water/ Fri water with nutes / Sat no water / Sun plain water. As for amount I have a measuring cup that holds 1 liter i fill it about 3/4's (avoiding spillage) so 3 cups
of water x 2 for my 2 gallon pots . to put it more simply 1.5 liters every other day into my 2 gallon pots (flowering) (but i always give them water to the point that its just starting to seep out the holes in the bottom) and most of the plants in veg are in lil 4 inch pots they get about 200mls of water (water seeps out real quick in them )

Light Cycle : Started flowering feb 12th on a 12/12 shedule
Started seedlings feb 12th on a 24/0 shedule, then after 14 days switched to 18/6 (just experimenting) thats what i continue to use
Started seedlings mar 1st on 18/6 shedule

SOIL : I use Sunshine mix #4

So i did my repotting today, since i got the soil yesterday. Its a dif soil than i usually use but i think i just might like it more, its very light.

While i was repotting one plant from a 1 gallon to a 2 gallon I realized that there was a small bowl in the bottom of the 1 gallon which my whole plant had basically grown into lol. Its the first few pics attached. I must have been high as hell when i potted it in the 1 gallon.

I dunno does that bowl look like a big enough pot?

Repotted my new strain prolly call her mountain bomb (Mountain Bud + my nonamer)into a 4 gallon pot seems so damn big but after seeing how many roots it had already i'm sure its a good sized pot (it is a mother btw)

the most potent is when the trichomes are clear and milky thats when its most potent but it wont be a couchlock high, i loveeee the couch lock haha so thats what i aim for. All ur babies are looking fuckinnn goood i cant wait to see what there gonna look like when u harvest them, i jus harvested for the first time the other day and wow they look so much different trimmed up.

im about to cut like 30 clones and its my first time cloning i hope most of them rooot good like yours did dam, but well see what happens.
