Unfortunately I was unable to grab any full plant shots of this plant but some trimmed shots will have to do for now. This is a Pandora's Box that I flowered one of 3 females that I flowered from a 10 pack. I only used 5 beans. I would also like to mention that this is not super soil, rather my ole faithful. in a 7 gallon smart pot.

First thing to mention is the size this freakin thing. I mean just huge, ill be very shocked if I don't pull close to 6 on this one. This plant is Very frosty and these pics do not do justice. I need some morning sun to get some real pics with my bottom end DSLR camera. The smell is of leather with a soft cherry bottom end. Can def. smell some NL in there. Most of the fans turned a nice purple shade as it yellow'd towards the end. I pulled it down @ day 63, seems perfectly ripe to me. The lowers did not fill out as much as I would have liked as the fans and bush were just massive. Very thick plant and I will def. do some more aggressive gutting this round.

The buds are all fox-tailed spear like and very dense. Drying in the summer in Colorado can be tricky for sure. It's super hot and dry here now. I don't even have to smoke this stuff to know how potent it is, that will certainly not be an issue, but I feel her smell peaked around day 49ish.. had a much sharper tear jerking smell. I will def. give a nice cure before i indulge. Normally I just cant wait to dive in, but i think this one will be worth the extra wait. Reason being is that plants with more resin burn a lot hotter than leafier buds, and can really sting your throat, esp. when not cured.

You simply cannot beat the smoothness of a well cured NL'ish strain.

Enjoy!

Here are some snaps i took this evening 3 minutes before my lights came on:

back left to back right: all @ day 30 - All in Super Soil - fed 1tbsp/5gal of Earth Juice Catalyst ever 3rd watering

2 plush berry phenos, appear to both be large and frosty
1 cherry lime
1 Dairy Queen

The spider looking lanky plant in the front left is Vortex, probably topped 5 times and still a super stretch. There is a Pandoras box all the way to the right at about day 15

New stuff about a week old include:

2 Qleaners, look similar now but....
2 Cheese Quakes, one has fatter leaves
1 Agent Orange
1 Chernobyl

We'll see what september brings. For now, its Time to chill :)

And with this being my first night in some time to actually sit down at the computer and blather, i figure I can add a few notes to my TGA experiences so far:

1) I find that every strain with Space Queen in it has very similar cherry smells to it in the first 30 days. After that, these strains take off in completely different directions. The Jilly Bean being the only sorta exception. Right now, both of my plush berries smell very similar to my DQ and early vortex & P. Box.

2) Now that I've had a chance to take the Flav on a true test drive, I was sad I took her early at first but now I couldnt be happier. This strain is that true cedar spice that you are looking for any time of day. The draw back.... if you want to call it that.... is that the ceiling is easily achieved. I would like to see what this strain would do with about another 5 days or so behind her, and I will in due time, but for now this will certainly get us by.

3) I just got another 10pack of Jilly Beans. Only 5 of the 10 this time look tan with no stripes. Got 5 real nice looking beans and hope to find a big juicy one this time. My last one was tiny, had to use the runt because the rest were males. My wife thinks the current one is "cute" and is the most excited about this strain. Chicks love Jilly Bean. has that been said before? I happen to have 2 friends named Jill and they are all OMGZ about it....

4) Im no scientist but I can tell you that cannabis plants LOVE LOVE LOVE Earth Juice Catalyst. You want the frost, get you some EJ Catalyst. Forget your Bud Candy or any other molasses concauction you brew up and get you some EJC. Not trying to sound like a sales rep but the proof is in the pudding. I truly wanted to go the 'only water' route the whole way but every time i hit these plants with the EJ, you can just see the world of difference the following day.

5) Vortex is just abnormally awesome. Not trying to quote subcool here, but if you are going to run anything on the menu, do not hesitate to grab Vortex. Im serious.

Cheers everyone!

Dipping back into the archives a little bit. Here is my first attempt at super soil. Got hot and heavy on a 12x12 tarp in the garage, I think i made somewhere close to 100 gallons. This is a lot of work up front but ever since converting, it couldn't be easier to grow great weed. My only concern is that my finished product will have that 'Soily Taste' I have nothing but a hunch to base this assumption on. I can tell if someone used FF Ocean Forrest from a mile away. Give all buds 'that taste'

DSC03701.jpgDSC03700.jpgDSC03702.jpg

As you can see above, my plants seem to be very happy :)

I didn't want to deviate from my TGA genetics thread by throwing a bunch of other crap in here, but I just so happen to have a strain that I consider 'The Holy Grail' of cannabis. I would say that there are maybe 10 strains that are so unique that there is NOTHING that smells or tastes anything like them. To name a few, I would say strains like Flo, Golden Goat, NL5, CO Cough... These are the strains that if you were to smoke in at a concert or a room, and someone were to walk in, they would say "wow. WTF is in that pipe"

Im not talking strains like your kushes, chems, diesels, skunks, etc.. as they are all generally the same and smell dank.

The origin of the CherryLime is somewhat unknown. Story has it that it came from the Portland area some 15 years ago to Nederland, CO. I can't tell you how hoarded this strain was, and still is all things considered with the green wave here. The lineage from what I gather is a Cherry AK x SSH. I can definitely see that. She takes exactly 70 days to be at her prime. The smell of her is in the name. It smells like a carbonated cherry lime soda from Sonic. This stuff makes your entire neighborhood smell good when toking. The yield on this plant is just out of control as well. She definitely has silver/platinum trichomes.

Here are a few pics from the archive:

wow dude, they all look so dank ...
I'm on day 28 of 12/12 with my 2 plushberry's ...

1 of the plushberry's is a bit of a stretcher compaired to the other 1 ...
How many different pheno's of plushberry are there, just the pink/purple and the green one ...?...

Also, when did ur plush's start to get a lot of crystal's on the fans ...?...
Mine dont seem to have that much yet, I've got a Diesel that has a lot more then them ...

My plush berry on the far back left has thick white trichs between each budsite. I can already tell you she is going to be the keeper of the two and theyre not even finsished. Neither have really turned pink from what I can tell and they both smell like space queen right now. I dont expect them to deviate a whole hellavalot but ya never know. If these phenos are going to turn pink, they will in my room. I spend the extra dime and keep my temps real low. They do have a very kushy structure for sure.

You know, I only flowered one Pandoras box. The larger one with the best looking roots and stankier stalk. Unfortunately my legal limit is 12 and there are so many strains to try that I only try to do one of each at a time. I pitched the Flav and Jilly Bean for instance but am running more to get the one I want. May not be the most efficient method but I am not trying to break the quasi laws that we have here. Ive seen and smoked a lot of herb and there is NO herb like NEW HERB. Always on the quest for something new to keep me excited.

I have always found the 2nd run from clone of any given strain to be much better. I know for sure that I will keep the Vortex around for a long while.

You said a moufful there......

"Ain't no HERB like NEW HERB"

So true.Soon,i'll be able to do some purchases for the very same reason.Like a frickin candy factory out there in the seed world,so much looks so tasty.

Have you done Void?

Lookin to see how close it is to the pandora in high.A friend has a friend that takes care of an not so elderly couple and the gentleman really liked the pandora.Every thing else i have given for him he doesn't prefer, draggin him down and he likes the opposite.I have some void beans, don't know if they'll pop as they been around for a minute.

Funny cause apparently the fellas son isn't so keen on his newly formed habit........told he got into it fairly good with said son and threw about 7-8 pill bottles at him in the heat of the moment and told ole sonny "Then you take all this bullshit....and stick some up your little ass while your at it".What a world.

ohh, and if you want instant trichs, get some Earth Juice Catalyst and blast them once
I've been using EJC in my teas recently and have noticed a much improved over-all uptake and look to my plants. I didn't realize it was making the difference but I guess it is huh?

Pandora's Box is just ridiculous..

First thing I want to mention is that about 5 minutes after my first hit, i felt like i was about to fall into my computer screen. I kinda have to bend over to type this but no kidding, i feel like gravity is pulling my head into the screen.

The flavor is much like the smell. Granted its only been curing for 7 days, Its Friday and I was more than looking forward to coming home and giving her a whirl. This stuff has a real earthy hashy leathery and overall plum bottom end.

As you can see, the buds are very spear shaped and very dense. You could put your eye out on one of these buds. Bag appeal is a solid 10*

She burns to a beautiful fine white ash and one amazing feature is that there is almost NO BITE on the intake. You couldn't hardly put more frost on these buds. I wish I could upload full resolution pics.

2 small bowls and the medicine has officially been declared not to be bunk.

I yielded 149g out of a 7gal smart pot.
