My seeds from Attitude were seized by customs. Not really "stealth shipping"

Federal law outlaws cannabis in all forms, including seeds. So, the very act of having them sent through the US Postal service is a felony, whether or not you live in a medical state or Colorado or Washington. It's illegal under federal law. That being said, when you place your order you take your chances. The attitude and every other seed bank have very similar disclaimers regarding the legality of cannabis, regardless of your locale. So they are nice enough to offer a free replacement if your shipment gets seized....that's pretty cool of them...especially since the recipient is fully aware that he/she is breaking federal law. They uphold their end of the bargain yet some foolish people still feel the need to blame the seed bank when the shipment goes awry. Really? Place the blame where it belongs...first blame yourself...since you were breaking the law in the first place, be glad they didn't come and arrest you. Second, blame the laws of the land...NOT the US postal service. I can't believe the audacity of these people who whine about missing shipments...grow up! You know the risks...you pays your money and takes your chances.

All that being said. I've ordered from Attitude three times, never had a problem. I ordered once from Nirvana, the shipment never arrived, sent them an email, they re-shipped free of charge and even threw in a few freebies. Nice!

I get sick of people blaming people posting about their package and customs learning from that post on what to look for.. i mean herbies and attitude both show on their site what they'll ship in.. and if that's not enough consider the endless budget they have to order for themselves and discover packaging.

Stealth shipping is not and never will be foolproof, it doesn't matter how many idiots unbox their orders on youtube, customs know of every possible method of concealment without ever having seen the vids, they're not hard to figure out.

Actually this whole stealth thing isn't really all it's cracked up to be. How do you think they find the seeds in the first place? With DOGS!! It doesn't matter how much you try to hide them, there's no way to disguise that smell to a dog and, trust me, they can sniff out seeds no problem. I got busted when I was in the USAF by a drug sniffing pooch who locked on a seed. So, once again, the moral to this is...you pays your money and you takes your chances.

At the end of the day, no matter what you call it, "stealth shipping" is basically an insurance policy. And people really need to stop blaming the seed banks for their confiscated seeds, it's not their fault.

Would not surprise me if some punk working at the post office in the customs dept. is privy to the "stealth packaging" these seed companies are using...I bet over a 3 month period the amount of seeds this person or group of people have collected is quite large.

It's probably like Christmas for them :blsmoke:

Yep true on all counts. And the best thing for them is that nobody's going to complain! Christmas indeed. But, at the end of the day it's fucked up and karma's a bitch!

So, just a quick update for our seized order. Attitude is reshipping it to us trying a "super stealth" method this time. We have a long and happy history with that outfit, and we realize that things happen. The issue for us was the lack of "stealth" involved in the last order. It had nothing to do with us breaking the law, blaming someone else for our risks, etc... Lol. We do buy a few seeds here and there from domestic sources, but generally it is hit and miss with the quality, sex, and even lineage and stability of seeds from breeders around here. When what we have been doing has been good for so long, there really isn't a need to fix what's not broken. Now that we have seen some recent issues, some things are going to have to be addressed. One thing seed vendors can do is be more mobile and proactive on limiting their exposure to seized shipments. They are really good at reshipping lost items and the like, but I see many different ways for them to limit their and everyone's exposure to loss (or worse). Evolve or die is the motto of our time, and nobody is exempt from that philosophy. I will post again once our order or another seizure letter arrives.
