Well if growing mushrooms has taught me anything, apparently it's how to quick dry some wet buds really quick.
Now.. Before you give me the "WHY DON'T YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL THEY DRY??" bit.. let me just explain that I like to sample my buds as they're nearing maturity, and if it saves me a few bucks by sparing some of my lower branches, then so be it..
Anyway
It's as simple as drying wet mushrooms. I have a 70w HPS (good choice, doesn't run too hot and it's not super bright) and all I did was place my freshly cut buds on top of an old black shirt, and then covered them with the other half of the shirt. Place the shirt 2" from the bulb and wait 24 - 36 hours. The buds still don't have the best smell, but they're dry and very smokeable. I found this to work MUCH better than the oven/microwave method as all the trichomes seem to stay intact with this method.
I don't know if it's just because I'm using a low wattage HPS, but this method seems to work wonders if you can't bear to wait 1 to 2 weeks.
And again, I don't recommend this because properly dried and cured bud is leaps and bounds better than any quick dry method, but I just wanted to share this with those people that do the same as me.
PEACE!
