@sunni nailed it, OD. Basically it's lean proteins, raw food whenever possible and no oils. Lots of dark green veg and nuts and while grains. Cut fats whenever possible, and incorporate avocado as your fat, it will help your body to better absorb the nutrients from the other foods.

When I taught classes on this shit at whole foods me and another chef helped to create their Health Starts Here program.

http://m.wholefoodsmarket.com/healthy-eating/health-starts-here

Check it out if you have a chance, there's recipes too, some may still be in there by yours truly.
awe *blushes* why thank you

Dinner with a protein shake..View attachment 3556058
Dude did you happen to check the sodium on that salad dressing? 920 mg PER SERVING. Looks like you gave yourself several servings. watch the salt.

Also, (I know I'm totally butting in but fuck it, you made a thread and I am heavy into fitness&nutrition)

I'd ditch the fat free and fake foods. Lots of chemicals in them. Better to eat real mayo and real fats, just not as much. Eat Whole foods. Not processed. i know it's easier, but not good in the long run. READ YOUR LABELS.

Good luck. Keep it up. You're young and you'll get fit fast if you don't cut corners.

An easy way to lose weight is to consume 30 grams of fiber a day. Google Fiberous Foods and make your own plan with the listed foods. Fiber will boost your metabolism as if you were 16 again. Apples, strawberries, any berry have tons of fiber. Most fruits and vegitables. Beans... whole wheat... stay away from white flour as the carbohydrates turn into "sugar" as it enters your body.

looks like youre making some great steps in little changes here and there

if i could a few pointers. or tips! :p whatever

go with side salad over french fries (sweet potato fries are just french fries dont be fooled :p )
keep an eye on your dressings think small, add more if too dry

and a tip just in case you wanna try
you can always substitute the bread or bun for lettuce, so you put lettuce on bottom and top and eat with knife and fork , this way when you eat out you have more control of what youre actually eating

i know you eat out a lot due to your job and life style, restaurants always use the most fattening products so make the little changes like
dressing on the side (so you can control)
half the cheese
half the portion in a to go box so you can eat the rest next day or for dinner (if resturant portion is too big)

as for your last dinner
too big of portion.
cut the rice in half.
if you used butter on the fish its too much,
looks to be more wet than it should

^_^

most juice like you have in the carton is sugar water with flavoring. i know it looks and tastes "healthy" but...
also when you read nutrition labels, be realistic with how much of the can, carton, box, etc you are going to eat. i may get something that has 5 servings in it and eat everything at once so multiply accordingly. as @Hookabelly says READ LABELS.

Do you like to cook? Going to CO there are tons of farmer's markets and organic stores. If it contains more than 5 ingredients on a food label try to avoid it. Processed sugars and unneeded carbs are in just about everything anymore.

Depends if you're watching calories or not. 8oz of pure OJ has about 100 cals. so that's pretty heavy calorie-wise. Eat the whole fruit instead. Adds fiber, volume in your stomach for bulk. and drink water. Juices sweetened or not are among the biggest empty calorie foods.

more natural fat needed in that diet Sunni, coconut oil, organic butter, good olive oil helps satiety, low fat diets are nutritionally deficient in omega 3 s unless u eat lots of oily fish, oh and eating healthy fat wont make u fat, carbs and alcohol do that

I never said anything about staying away from carbs or fat in fact I said to eat them

I said don't eat processed fats and simple carbs
Big difference I said to limit your oils because people eat too much oils specially veg or canola not olive oil
No one needs 4 tablespoons in the frying pan lol
The problem is most people don't understand how to use food and food items so they over dress

It is also NOt a diet it's a lifestyle change and eating for nutrition

Which is going to take OP time and baby steps
I explained with him further for about 4 hours via PM he knows what I mean in great detail
