So i just need to fill the form out and submit to government and they cant denie me?
The letter from the building management said that medical was exempt under the Ontario Human Rights code, so I'd imagine something similar in your neck of the woods. But that's correct, you don't require their permission in order to get your grow license

Big Q now is about insurance for us all....what up with that i'm wondering. Seems how could they deny us a claim if it's legal now. Not breaking the law after all. So how can they use that excuse anymore?

theres a lot of money in pharma and insurance in canada, if you look at the roots theres many shared board members between pharma and insurance. No conflict of interest laws against that. So it'll take a lot of money in cannabis to get that in motion or a big commotion from us citizens.

You can grow and have house insurance, Just everything you use must be ETL / COTB certified. Meeting north american electrical standards, you need proper safety equipment on site, flood protection measures taken and fire suppressant system. Essentially you need to have your home grow up to LP standards and you can get insured.

I have everything in place except a fire suppressant system. only cost about 200$. Far cheaper than losing your home

I haven't check those out yet but are they suitable for electrical fires?

Because I'm pretty sure you use/need CO2 for an electrical fire...which is likely in a grow.

And try buying a CO2 fire extinguisher! I bought one and it was a real hassle.
Not sure why. I had to use my business company to get it. Still it was like nazi city.
WTF...you guys must know??

You can easily buy abc fire extinguishers which cover electrical fires as well. Its awkward to have a reason to buy a CO2 only fire extinguisher unless you're a business.

You would use a CO2 only one in computer enviroments for example. Where you are trying to save as much very expensive equipment as you can, as the CO2 extinguisher will not damage the equipment. In a grow you would use ABC due to the presence of other potential fire hazards, such are nutes or burning mylar / plastics.
