and u really trippin i grew sativa with cfls and mine wuz flowering so:finger: and ur real light
Yeah, how many CFL's? And not all of what you call "Sativa's" are true pure Sativa's.

Most Sativa's have been crossed to at LEAST inherit the shorter flowering traits. If your pure Sativa has not then it can take up to 20 weeks. I have no doubt in mind that plant would have flowered...painfully slow and very unproductively under only 240w of CFL's.

I don't mean that you can't do it with CFL's, only prayer might be to use CFL's...tons of them. Shit tons. Should be much better off this time with and indica with an 8-10 week flower. It's just that Sativa's love to get so tall and penetration isn't going to happen without a lot of light. Makes more sense to just not bother with them indoors. Throw one in your backyard for a summer and I'm sure you'll be MORE than pleased, but indoors they are just a nightmare.

Yup, napped out stretchy, crappy Sativa. Stressed, looks like it still managed heat stress under your CFL's.

It's not a dumbass comment, WHY would you pick up a Sativa dominant strain to grow under 240w of CFL's? I don't even want to get into this discussion, but that was a complete waste of time. Try picking a more suitable strain for your growing environment. Sativa's grow really tall, CFL's get really weak further than 2" from the plant...hmmm that's dumb. Sativa's flower for a very long time and generally about the 1st 3rd of flowering is the "stretch" period. So say it's a 20 week flowering plant you're looking at 6 weeks of stretchin' out and growing, or about 2 months before it really even begins to very, very slowly flower. And it won't product much in the way of flowers under weak ass CFL's.

Keep the Sativa's under the sun and try more appropriate strains for growing indoors, especially under such minimal light.

And those pictures prove my point perfectly...love it. Napped out crappy looking plants. Good luck on this next one.

and 90 days old from seed....puts that plant right about where it should be. Under weak ass lights it'll take at least 5 weeks before it's showing preflowers and alternating nodes and truely "Ready" to flower. learn about PURE Sativa's and you'll understand why people don't grow them inside, and those that do generally use a ton of light.

How can you tell they are streched without seeing any stems and branches i'd like to know? No, she isnt stresses but did have a little trouble with lamp burn ONCE.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY BAGSEED? NOT BROUGHT OR PAID FOR, IT WAS GIVEN TO ME AND I HAD NO IDEAR THAT IT WAS SATIVA BEFORE I PLANTED IT, OK?

DUDE, SHE WAS ON 12/12 FOR HOW LONG? HAVE A FUCKING READ, OVER 10 WEEKS, WAY MORE THAN 1/3 AND SHE WASN'T PRODUCING ANYTHING STILL.

And btw, you are the only person to ever comment badly about that plant, pictures of her have done he rounds on this forum and have been seen by quiet a few experts and they have praised her. never commented on her being streched or nappedout.

So, i got my plant back and she is sitting under a 600w hps lamp, i'l keep you updated with her non budding.

Man I wouldn't trip to much on it. I have had the same issue on my crops (last crop, to be exact). You stressed the plant. No if, ands or buts. Thats the only reason a Marijuana plant won't grow right. There are a shit ton of ways to stress any type of plant thats growing inside.

-Peace out.... :leaf:
