I recently had a blueberry that was a pleasure to the senses every time I opened the tent! Then in a period of maybe 5 days it lost all its scent, no idea why, so .. ?

Anyway White Widow doesn't have very much of a scent to begin with

You prolly got used to it. It's very common to go nose dead to a smell your exposed to every day... doesn't mean it cant be smelled from around the block! When I first started growing I was in a apartment an trying to be sneaky. I well the people across from me called me out, I said I dont, they said we know you are, we can smell it an it fuckin wreaks! Sell us some! Lol I even had a filter... thought I was so slick..

I've been growing White Widow for a few years, it's ilgm, not much of a scent compared to some plants in my garden, all things being relative I suppose

The blueberry, as I mentioned above rapidly lost its scent over 3 to 5 days, not long before Harvest

Strange, from my story above the strain was actually white widow lol an I always read it's one of the stinkiest as well but diff breeders an such I'm sure.

I sure miss that strain... I paid 180 i believe for 3 fem seeds. I was new an didn't realize this was way more than average. But i can honestly say it was worth it. It was the type you could toss at a window an it would stick. Youd literally have to use chopsticks or something to get the buds out the bottom of jars.
I had to let it go cuz of its stink, an that's all that's kept me from trying to get it again

I just picked a little WW and it had a smell. I'm running over to check... But it seems the smells change during the plant's life. Don't know if it works but Sulfur was said to increase smell. There's sulfur in Epsom Salt so that may be worth a try.

I'm getting like a mix of swiss cheese and slightest hint of skunkiness. Just started curing.

Depends on the strain, most autos do smell less while growing, but there are exceptions, I grew sour spyder by Mdanzig, that srain was outrageous, I had it in my br, door closed, heavy blanket nailed up and you could smell it in the hallway, but mostly you will get a nice whiff now and again. I only grow indica or indica Dom hybrids, so I would assume a skunk strain will raise a red flag, but with autos if you cure your product properly you can't tell the difference. SNOLEPERD

Hey Barrybee,

Smell and potency don't always go hand in hand. Sometimes a strain can have a strong smell and a low thc content and vice-versa.
Just make sure that there are a lost of resin glands on the plant. Then, harvest at the right time and your end result should be good.

The smell may develop further after drying and curing.. or it's simply that it is a strain that has a low smell.

Smell is more terpintines. You can give the plant 24-72 hours of complete dark right before harvest and she can improve on smell. Dark periods usually help this. My plants are fairly non stinky at day 79 today but i used 24/0 for lights. Smell will improve during dry and cure like posyer above said. And like others also, some are just moderate to none in stinkiness.
