My plant is making me sick!

So I recently starting having trouble breathing and my throat has been bothering me. That stupid commercial with the women with the voice boxes talking about how they got cancer from smoking started freaking me out. I convinced myself that I had lung or throat cancer, after all I have been smoking bud and cigs for 20 years.

So I go to the dr today and they run a pulse ox test and that is good. She tells me that my symptoms sound like allergies and asks me if I have been anywhere tropical where stuff is blooming. HA DING DING DING.

I told her I had an indoor garden of tomatoes and other veggies and they have been blooming lately. She told me that was it.

Man, talk about relief. But damn, I wish this plant would come on already and be done. She has only been in bloom 44 days so I have several more weeks to go.

Anywho, thought some of you may find this funny as hell. Getting old sucks, I swear every little thing that aches turns into a major disease in my head.

She told me to take an OTC Zertec that it was better than Clariton. I am going to get some when I run back out later.

Now that I know what it is, I am cool. I can not tell you guys how many sleepless nights I have had latley thinking I was going to die. :-|

I tried to send him a message but his mailbox was full His name is Mr Khola and this is what he wrote

"BTW- has anyone known of a heart condition caused by spending alot of time/sleeping around Soil based mixes? last year I develoved nearyl 2 litres of fluid in the lining around my heart (2 litres- I know!). It was actually a close-run thing and I was in the intensive heart unit with tubes in places I really didnt want tubes :$

Then recently I jumped when someone said they'd heard of a similar case while listening to a gardening programme on the radio about a man who spent all summer in his greenhouses and had contracted a similar thing.

It's Viral in nature- indeed the nurse asked if id been anywhere exotic; I think my returned expression answered her question :smile:
I'd been mis-diagnosed by a variety of inept doctors for a while so the condition worsened as antibiotics had no effect. chest infection?- pnuemonia?- 'well his lips are going quite white now and he cant breathe, hospital perhaps?"

Anyway think I may start a thread of it's own... I still have a soil planter in my room and will have for the coming months.

emmmm i sleep right next to my indoor thing..... i think that moving was a good idea, spare room to grow in...... keep it nice and clean.

dont want that happening to me...

OH GREAT! Now I am going to have to have my heart checked.

I took the Zirtec around 45 minutes ago and I can already tell a difference.

IF I ever do this again, it will be in a stealth box in my garage. This really is not worth it. I cant go anywhere, cant have company over and both my husband and myself are allergic to this plant.

I think the Gods are trying to tell me something.
