my photo period time?

yeah ive been starting my seedlings they are all from sprouting to 3 inches tall. ive been doin 24 hours light on. im useing 4 75 watt CFLs and one Halogen for the heat. Its at 80 degrees Farenhit. Can i switch the light period to 18 hours day/ to 6 hours night? and is this better. I just read jorge cervantes grow guide and i think it said to do this with seedlings.

During seedling and veg stages you can use 24hr lighting just fine. I do and recommend it to others for the fastest rate of growth over time. You can use 18/6 lighting if you like, many do.

i prefer 18/6 but who am i anyway
