My parents found my weed and pieces and now treat me like a drug addict

i know this kinda stufff happens because my mom was anti weed like 8 years back and now we are chiefin fat joints and blunts together laughing. You have to re educate your parents about everything they ever learned about marijuana. They probably were brought up in the generation where a joint smoking hippie or negro would take a hit of bud and go insane killing everyone they come in contact with. There are hard facts and user testimonials to proove or disproove any doubts or points they make you can even tell them to do some reading up about marijuana themselves. Maybe if they researched medical facts they could find out themselves.

it all depends if you consider marijuana a drug. I do not. Its a prescription drug right here in california. But i would simply call it a plant with medicinal properties. Herb . Drugs are usually refined or man made.

ive never seen a good looking tattoo on a old man or woman with no teeth titts sagging to the ground and some shitty looking tattoos all over them self's .
that is because all of the old men and women that you see with tatts got them a long time ago and they werent of the same quality. Most of thoes old men were in the armed forces and got tattoos on a whim while over seas or to commemorate their duty. Not until relatively recently have they become the beautiful pieces of art work that you see people getting now.

"DRUG-

OK. "Aren't we all" was wrong there. But, a 19 year old growing pot in parents' basement is definitely in the risk group. I mean if I got my ass busted by my parents, I would expect them to (at least) treat me like a drug addict (yeah, maybe I'd give them that medicinal bullshit, but regardless)...

And that "medicinal" always sounded a bit "legal" to me... But hey, I don't live in the US. So I wouldn't know about that.

Re-educating your parents is the only thing you can do, and it will work if you have sound facts, studies and knowledge to back up your explaining.

They have been filled full of crap and propaganda, while not ever knowing anything about the substance in question.

Just like black people, gay people have had prejudices placed upon them by the same type of baseless crap, causing people to fear something they know nothing of.

EDIT: You're only addicted to a substance if you have physical cravings for it. When I run out of smokes, I fiend up some money like a fucking crack-head and rush out to get them as soon as the urges break a certain point. I don't remember having the URGE to get up, go outside in the cold and light up a joint, cigarettes are another story. Look, I'm typing about cigarettes, now I have a craving, AFK smoking outside. (My doobie has been rolled, sitting here for like 2 hours, just haven't taken the time to go smoke her)

If you're smoking to get high all the time then you are a dope head. It's not like you have glaucoma or autism & a doctor wants to prescribe marijuana to you without you asking for it to be prescribed to you, so yes & rightfully so your parents look at you as if you are a drugie. You know you are & you can't bullshit them. They ain't fucking stupid.

Who you kidding kid, you're a drugie & no matter what you say to them to get them to see things your way is going to be a dead end road. Grow a pair of balls & support yourself in the real world otherwise don't bitch and complain when living under their roof. Be lucky your dad didn't give you a serious ass beating. I get high but if I had kids trying to grow marijuana in my house I would beat the living shit out of them without leaving marks.

This is my house & my rules. Your parents are 100% entitled to enforce their rules of THEIR house

I agree. Don't fool yourself; you're a druggie and you're risking their reputation and peace at home. So, seriously, either move out or loose those plants. If you want, do it with your future at stake at "your place" ;)

bolts in their face? how stupid do you sound. piercings and tattoos have nothing to do with work ethic. i figured most people on this site would be a little more open-minded than this. pathetic.
the truth is everyone judges people on their apperance, even you. true it may be close minded and pathetic, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen all the time. we all do it once in a while. you can't tell me if someone looks stupid you are not going to assume they are, at least untill they prove your assumtion wrong. evryone has bias and judgement. the trick is not to give in to your predispostion untill you accurately size up facts. and that s hard to do!

What they don't know won't hurt them.. With all this legal battle about "kawnz" it's only a matter of time before it's totally legal.. Times are changing the typical politician is fading into the past.. It's only a matter of time.. And with that being said at that point in this world we can all say haaaa I told you so.. But for now all we can do is play the game which is basically what you need to do.. If your gonna blaze stay out don't come back to ur house that night/day.. Be smart don't give them any reason to fuk with you.. My whole family smokes and you'd never know it..

Do you think your generation is the 1st to live through & try to find work in the midst of a recession ? from your post it is clear that you do think that way.

Some of us with myself included live in the same state as you but went through much rougher economic times than your generation is going thru now, times in the early 80's where the Big 3 automakers permenantly laid off several hundred thousand workers in a months time ,those laid off workers were in direct competition for jobs at Mcdonalds with teenagers.

I dont care how damm bad the economy is,if a man truly wants a job he will find one & it wont take being out of work for 18 months either.

The people you mention who have never had a job could it be possible that they dont want to work,or that they fit their job hunting efforts in between texting friends & posting multiple thousands of responses on message boards ?

Any young folk reading this who TRULY WANT TO WORK listen up beacuse myself & others like myself are the one's who hire/fire your generation,if you want to find a job quickly here is what to do.

1 Give up posting applications online & wasting time f ing around looking for work online cause it aint gonna happen, online jobs are filled by employees who fit specific job skills with high levels of experience.

2 Get a whole new wardrobe of work wear, leave those big ass blousy britches that can fit 3 people in them at home & put on a pair of regular levi jeans, just the fact that you are not dressed like bozo the clown in big silly pants like most other young people will make you stand out.

3 Learn how to use the word's yes sir when answering questions from elders,it's a sign of respect that most young people have not been taught how to use & will once again make you stand out above the rest.

4 Forget about filling out applications at noon, get your ass out at 5am & start hitting factories, construction companys & landscape companies.

5 Show up ready to work that day & not in tennis shoes but work boots.

6 Ask to speak in person to managers, supervisors & superintendants, then when you do get a face to face act like an adult who desperately needs a paycheck yesterday & is willing to work a week free to show how damm serious you are about working.

In the time it took to post over 1,700 resposnes on this site alone a job could have easily been landed, its a matter of getting one's priorities in order vs blaming the shitty job market for not getting a job.
do you currently have a job? also please notice that i mentioned that if you do not have a job it is your job to find a job. Also sir please be aware that the assumption that you made of me are incorrect I am very aware of the fact that my generation is not the only one to see ''hard times'' I had hoped that some of the others from those other times could possibly have some type of sympathy for people in my position. I would also like to bring to your attention that I have been doing all of the things you listed and some more that you did not. and I am still unemployed. Maybe I'm just a worthless bag of shit though, that's how I feel at least everytime I get rejected for a job I know I am more than qualified for. I have had to compete against piles of apps thicker than a bible. I am still trying though I hope you can have some respect for me know that you know me a little better. We all just need some support and encouragement. It is hard to pick yourself up again and again; hope wears thin.
