Besides pots, soil, thermometer/hygrometer, ducting and Y-adapter and nutes,
What else am I missing?

What do you guys think of the quality/price for a set up like this for 4(?) "specimens"?

What problems do you see arising?

Is it safe to plug all this stuff into one outlet?

Let me know if you need more details :)

it is safe to run this on single outlet provided that your electric installation in grow area is good.
I noticed you said 2x intake fans? how will these be placed? better to have them both as exhaust.
I see no apparent problems arising,
good luck :D

Thanks !
No I want one of those smaller fans attached to the cool tube, and the other one will be an intake at the bottom of the tent.
As for the bigger fan, that would be placed at the top corner of the tent.
Or should I rearrange them?
Get different products?

Also, is 4 plants too many for 3-5 gallon pots in a 4 x 2 x 5 tent with a 400w HPS? If I top and LST could I throw in another?

The only thing I would suggest is getting away from the cool tube. Althought some will probably debate this I have seen more problems and read more problems with these rather than benifits. The have been said to reduce lumen output. If your worried about heat i would say that you will more than likely be safe running the intake fans for cool air and as long as your 6in exhaust is around 400-440cfm your room will stay plenty cool. Make sure you add a clip on fan or two for air movement across your plants thus will help stregthen up the stock and help prevent mold plus keep from getting stagnant air in the grow room. As far as the 4 plants go I would say you should be safe with 4 plants wouldnt go any more. General rule is 1 plant per sqft tops, make sure you do a little training and you shouldbe golden. Then again i have ran 10 plants in a 4x3 but alot of training went into it and I personally think I could have yeilded the same with less plants in scrog. Hope all this helps good luck

I debated myself over the cool tube, but came to the conclusion that I could just move the light closer since I don't have to worry about heat.
By the way, does the hot hair from the HID affect the external room temperature drastically in a 4' x 6' x 80' space?

Also, Yeah I figured I'd put one plant in each corner and train them all toward the middle with a screen a couple feet below the light? How tall should I let them get in that 5' H?

If your max is 5ft I would suggest doing a scrog. If your running 5gal buckets they will its roughly 1ft tall. Even with the cooltube I wouldnt let the plants get any closer then 1ft from the cool tube, so your max hieght wouldbe 4ft MAX. If your using buckets that dont have a top drip ring or any reason to pull and clean place your screen around 12-18inches above the top of your bucket and train from there. As far as the heat in the other room you should be ok it shouldnt mess with the overall temp to bad maybe 5-10 degrees depending on how sealed it is.

I couldn't tell from your post, but it appears you are running everything on the same voltage. Take a look at the amp draw of each piece of equipment then check to see the available amperage on the circuit being used. The plug looks like 110v on the timer. I think the recommendation is not to exceed 80% of the available amperage on a given breaker. Let us know. If you're not certain there is a formula for figuring out the draw.

you will be better venting your room if you place both fans as exhaust and leave holes for passive intake. don't place intake fan and exhaust fan. as for the room 4x6x80, if you are dumping your hot air into it, then yes, you will feel that it is warmer than other rooms, let alone the smell. I wouldn't do that if I had visitors in that room, you can exhaust to the exterior of your home

Nope, that 4' x 6' x 80'' room is a closet which contains the smaller tent (barely) and I've got an iguana in there too (which also is a good cover up for lights/wires/sound etc.)
And I sealed the closet pretty well, and got a net curtain to keep bugs out.
I don't understand how I'd do passive intake without leaving spaces open for light to get in/out. Do I just not worry as much during night cycle?

Also, is smell still a pretty big concern with a carbon filter? I thought I was in the clear zone when it came to odor.
Not that smell is a HUGE factor, as I already smoke freely in my room, though I should just expect the unexpected. (Relatives, uptight people)

Another question is this may be your "room", but what else is there? Are you in a house? Other people living there? Is there any way at all to exhaust to the outside or to an attic like Zem suggested? I don't know about you filter and the smell, sorry.
Is the electrical situation OK? BTW, how close are you to the water supply? Just curious.

The operation is not a concern to the people I live with, smell isn't so much an issue.
I am concerned with plugging 2 fans and a 400w light in one outlet,
I have no idea how to check the voltage or whatever.
and I haven't picked up a water reservoir yet,
as I'm still germinating seeds.
Germinated with filtered, bottled, drinking water.

I actually COULD leave the tent, closet and window open to my room when i don't have company to get fresh air and Co2.
Maybe even vent the air outside temporarily when I'm alone?
A couple ideas...

make sure that wherever you are exhausting has some kind of opening to let air outside else you would not really be exhausting. for the outlets, 400w +2 smaqll fans is like 500-600w which is less than a hairdryer, so a regular good quality outlet will have no problem handling it.

I was thinking about running a similar setup, I live on the beach and the temperature is always between 70 and 80 degrees. I have been looking at this tent but am concerned about the venting options for odor control. I'll let you know anything I find out.

but my main problem right now is attaching my 4" fan to my 6" cool tube without buying a reducer, I want to use my "Y" adaptor, so I might as well use the other hose to vent out heat from the top
