Digital ballasts are very efficient, and the energy cost between a 400watt - compared to a 600 is a couple dollars a month. Look at it this way. a 400 watt is more like a big 250w. and a 600 watt performs like a small 1000watt.

Fan - hardware store. 6 inch inline duct fan 250 cfm= 30$
the ducting will run you like 15$
speedster - speed controller for fan
Reflector - Yieldmaster II - 110$
ballast - galaxy 600 watt digital [ green ] 250$
digilux bulbs are about 100$, i highly suggest starting with the MH, it is the best bulb on the market IMO, and spectrum is THE BEST, hands down, no questions asked.


SERIOUSLY what hardware store you going to. 250cfm inline for $30. this is a serious quetion not being a jack ass thanks

Yeah a 600 would be excellent in a tent that size. if you can ventilate the light then go as big as you can. I am using sunshine#4 which is considered soil less I think... and mixing it with pearlite 80/20. My nutes are simple, I just use the fox farm trio. for Veg I use big bloom and grow big. I introduce tiger bloom when I flower and go 12/12, and use all 3 during flower.

I am currently on my 3rd grow, I've only been doing this a year and a half, so I am limited on what I can say is best on soil less mixes cause I know there are some killer ones. So far everything has been going well in veg, and I plan on continuing that trend on towards flower.

I'm actually only going to the store for nutes rockwool, hydroton clay etc. The ballast and shit like that I'm thinking of getting online the cheapest I can find and having it sent to a safe location with no trace back to me. The discount hydro store online is a bit steep for their setup its like 350$ for the next gen 600w/400w hps ballast with a hood that has 6 inch air cooled or something like that. Ill post the link so you can take a look I dont know if I want to get the setup like that or buy it in pieces maybe I can get it cheaper buying in pieces.After its all said and done i want that 600w/400w hps next gen ballast the hps bulb for flower cause i have fluoros for temp for the veg an inline fan like yours i do want an overkill but w/e i can get to do the job first without killing my pockets will do for the meantime.I'd like to have a nice carbon filter a nice hood with maybe glass???? ummm possibly even a tent now fuck! ummmm lets see here what am I missing.... If you could private message me some good places thats discreet to buy good parts for cheap and give me price ranges that would be excepitonal :) If not I understand it's no big deal.

Ive read that you can use general hydroponic nutrients with a two part instead of three by using only the bloom and grow and for a gal of each would run about 60$ and last for awhile.Im debating on going hydro or soil if i went hydro i would use ebb n flow for flowering and a drip irrigation for veg and just feed it as normal in both. I'm not exactly sure whats going to cost more to maintain buying soil every time or buying distilled water and changing every so often.Thats what has brought me here im collecting information before I start handing out money and regretting it later on.Any advice on how much the soil and shit cost per grow would be nice,But im not sure of this but im goign to throw it out their Ive read you can use seltzer water in a spray bottle as co2? Don't know if you've ever watched mr greens guide but he did it 3 times a day while cutting his fans off for 15 minutes at a time.I noticed you had a 2 liter bottle in your tent is that what that is co2?

The stores close by are advanced hydroponic garden and fifth season gardening was going to give them a call ahead of time and ask prices on a few things before I headed that way.Not really sure if they are even worth a shit.

i am vegging 3 weeks under t5s,... then i am doing the rest of my vegging and flowering under 2 600 watt hps my closet is 4*4*9 i have 1 6" fan inline cooling my lights then it gets thrown outside my room,... i also have 1 low intake fan to supply fresh air.and another 6' can fan to take hot air out the room my regular tem is at 84 degrees...

you can go to any hydro shop they have catalogs of all kinds of shit,... from pots to computerized shit if ur lookin for prices that would be ur best bet...

Thats a nice setup man thanks for the info any info I can get is much appreciated.. Do those inline fans make a lot of noise say your in a diff room or had a door shut to your grow room can you hear it in the next room?Could you send me some links to website with good deals in a private message?

I dk about any discounts... I always buy mine at local hydroshops....

If you only run 1 inline fan ur ok with the noise in a small room...

I am running 2 6 inch fans in 1 room and the noise is easily covered when the ac ia running...

Just go for it man... Decide and start growing.... I wanted to grow some hairy frosty shit for my first frow... After doing all this research I decided I dint want to go for it cause most of the frosty strains were for experinced growers,... So I decided to order iced grapefruit. Grapefruit diesel( got a thing for grapefruit)...lol..... Supersilver lemon haze.... Phat fruity... Cataract kush... Bc blueberry...tora bora....vanilla kush... And amnesia kush... So far I germinated 5 seeds only... 3 iced grapefruit... 1 phat fruity.. And 1 supersilver lemon haze.... 100% germination so far...

Hey, I see your thinking about ordering seeds. OK, I gotta throw in my opinion. From Nirvana get their AK 48, MkUltra, and or Blue Mystic. I'm not a fan of the other stuff

I would go with some super dank seeds :) :) like anything from caliconnection, barneys, or soma. TH seeds has burmese kush and kushage, which are really dank. TGA/subcool have some of the dankest strains around, they are not feminized if that's what you are looking for.

OK, the BEST, cheapest strain online, is "Special kush #1" from Royal Queen Seeds. They are the cheapest pack of feminized seeds like 25$ american from attitude, I grew 1, and it was some of the dankest shit I've grown. I'm telling you right now man, if you want a cheap super super super dank strain, get this.

that snow white wasnt any good? that snow white and that blackjack just keeps catching my eyes and if something happened to my package from nirvana I know they would without a prob send me extra seeds..thanks bro ill keep that kush in mind sounds lovely i've already bought more fluorescents for my veg room going to get some soil tom for this bag seed grow I'm growing outdoors until I get the money to buy your pimp setup LOL.With your help I have finally got my heart set on something that's not going to be bs with no doubts in my mind about it.It may take a few months but I'm buying it in pieces so before long I will show the setup xD thanks again smoke

quick nub question if i had 5-6 plants how long would the trio of fox farm nutes at 1 quart each last me?

The FF trio will last you a very long time. multiple grows. It puts a smile on my face when somebody starts getting it figured out such as yourself. As far as the snow white, I liked the strain but I feel that the pheno was inconsistent. The reason is because this last grow, where I got 3 oz off my snow white, the plant didn't have the same smell/taste as the plants seeds from the prior grow. Now, someone could say I didn't cure it right, or w/e... but in my heart of hearts I feel like nirvana is sort of inconsistent with their strains, and rely on their pictures to capture new growers (such as myself at the time I bought the seeds) to buy their seeds. Personally, I feel Nirvana is great for new growers to start with, but when you become more advanced you start seeing characteristics in other breeders seeds that Nirvana simply cannot match.
