My new greenhouse...

So doublejj car port greenhouse and a lower key fewer bug infested way to grow outside inspired me to do one of my own, although Im lazy and have ADD, so instead of building my own I found a 10'x20' Green House that a lovely company by the name of Shelterlogic already makes. It was $350 shipped to my door and has everything I need. People on here have brought it to my attention it will be too humid in there, I realize that and will cross that bridge when I get there.

I just wanted to post this to give others ideas and to show what kind of success one can have with a nice little fairly inexpensive greenhouse. So far I have laid down weed blocker fabric and erected the frame, the cover and everything else will go on tonight/tomorrow, I'll then line the floor with pea gravel and put my OD plants in that bad boy, the sooner the better!

Here are some pics of what I have soo far...

Thanks for the kind words, as you can see by the pics its for this year, I want to do light dep on it but am thinking of ways to do it easily and efficiently, I have till after harvest to figure it out. I do want to rig up an exhaust fan for it but with the windows open and a box fan pointed out of the door it seems decent in there, with a swamp cooler and a exhaust fan it should be lovely!
Here it is completed...

I use black gold (All oganic OMIR certificed soil with no nutes in it only Worm Casting) with 20% #4 perlite mixed in all in 10 gal smart pots except for one that was vegged longer which is in a 15 gal and 2 that are in 7 and 5 gal geo-pots. Im growing Short Ryder (Which is neither short nor an auto flower like stated) and AK-48 from sead, Purple Platinum Kush, snow Cap, Blackberry kush and a few others I cant remeber right now.

I use Grow-biotic organic nutes for my base, grow for veg and grow and bloom for flowering and I've been using Hi-Brix Molasis, Sensizme, Liquid Karma and Maxicrop powder sea weed. I fertilize every 3rd watering which works out to about once a week and the plants all look amazing.
I had two males, possibly a third one, funny thing is I used the stalk to stake up a few of the little guys and I used the pots and soil to put two little gals in each =)

Those smart pots really that good??I hear mix results all the time and I am to cheap to buy any (those and them air pots) since I have a billion regular pots.......oh so why did you pull the males??No interested in breeding??

No breeding, I dont particularly like these strains all that much, so once they are done I may not bring them back. Yea I might need some blocks, I was hoping the fact they are in 10 gal pots would get them to stay short enough to not need blocks =)

So bud capitillers are a bunch of ass holes, seen a few eat up a bud or two and my leaves. So I got me some Safers Caterpillar killer with BT, stuff works great, only caterpillar killer we sell, well were out of the stuff with Spinosad.
Anyways, sprayed it early this morning, should start seeing them gone in a few days, I have only found about 4 so far, but thats 4 too many! Snapped a few shots of one of the bastards this morning. 2011-08-17 08.01.26_Bakersfield_California_US.jpg2011-08-17 08.01.48_Bakersfield_California_US.jpg2011-08-17 08.26.44_Bakersfield_California_US.jpg2011-08-17 08.26.10_Bakersfield_California_US.jpg

Temps are terrible, its been 100 or close to 100 every day for the last few weeks, the greenhouse is staying a little cooler and not too humid surprisingly. Going forward Im gonna get an extraction fan, swamp cooler and some shade cloth to help better cool the things and keep bugs out. I have to have the bottom opposite of the door lifted up and a box fan pointing out of the front to keep temps and humidity in check, this of course makes it easy for bugs to invite themselves in. I have mites and caterpillars, next year I'll be soil feeding and spraying Aza Max and BT weekly from the start, bugs are a pain in the ass if you arent proactive about it.

Yea Im gonna be spraying Azamax/Pure green/Einstein Oil with 50/50 water/alcohol once a week and the Safer BT once a week until harvest. I did get lucky and have attracted some pirate bugs which seems to be controlling the mites on the plants they are on, I'll make sure to avoid sprayin those guys!

Man its been a while, but I took two of the ladies down today and started trimming, surprisingly very little Caterpillar damage and I found a few crispy dead ones here and there. The BT spray really worked, the greenhouse kept most of those moths out (I found one in there the other day and that was it) , and I think the fact the little bastards took a liking to my grapes right outside of my Greenhouse (they are destroyed and completely infested with Caterpillars).
Quality is no where near my indoor, but that will have to be a work in progress, pics coming soon.
