this is my first time growing
these girls are 4 weeks old 3 days in the pictures....i did LST round 2 after i took these pictures and im going to upload pics later on how they acted the next day [ today ]
temps are good, lower during dark period {70F), and 76-78F when lights on. Im not using any nutes because i transplanted from 1.2G into 3G pots using FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil about 10 days ago and that soil carries a good balance of nutrients for about a month..I am mixing 1ml of SuperThrive, and 10ml of plant energy (my dude at hydro store gave me a few samples and said use 1x a week), per Gallon of water and watering with a little more than a quarter gallon (maybe 1.6 liters) every 3-4 days (when dry enough)..I have an inline fan constantly bringing in fresh air..i have a 435cfm CF fan hooked up to a speed controller and attached to 6" cooltube holding switchable 400w light fixture..im using the metal halide right now and im going to switch to the h.p.s. when i go into flowering..i already bought FF Tiger Bloom for that stage but i'm going to get a few more kinds of flowering nutes..ummm, i LST'd them and topped 2...I been trimming off any lower older leaves and also any leaves in the way of side shoots looking for light (whole point of the LS training lol)...hmmm, i saw fungus gnats in the first 2 weeks of growing because i originally started with MG soil before i switched for the FFoF soil, but after that I didn't see any...i covered the soil with about an inch layer of sand to suffocate and possible larvae from coming up...seemed to get the job completely done.. the only real worry i have is if any are males...that would suck...i heard you cant really sex them until your about a week or two into flowering, so im crossing my fingers...I'm not too sure how long to flower for..im guessing around 8 weeks (my grow box is only 4'x2'x4') so the plants dont have that much space to fill out..ill be using my 30x jewlers loupe with LED light attached, lol, to examine the trichomes colors turning from clear to a milky to amberish color to know when to harvest....i have a carbon filter hanging by chain on the box ceiling thats not hooked to the tube with duct yet because it doesnt need to be... oh yeah i also have a 6" clip on fam in a top corner circulating air more through the box and building up the plants stalks, they're already thick as fuck! loll,, im hoping everyhing goes as planned
