We have three little towns here stretching out east to west. I work in the middle one and live near the western one while Mamma's friend lives in the eastern one. It cost a quarter to call from where I live to where Mamma friend lives. She would call me at work to get me to call her friend so she could save a quarter. It was a PITA all those years.
