My grow site

Alright, tell me what you think about my site. It's about a 1/3 of a mile from a trail. It is in an area that had apparently caught on fire about 5 years ago because there are char marks on the trees. There are very few tall trees left, I"m guessing because of the fire, but there are tons of 4-6 foot tall trees. It also gets plenty of light because of the few canopy trees. I was thinking the small trees would make it nearly impossible to spot any of my trees. It's also a few hundreds yards away from the local resevoir and has tons of boaters going by. I'm not too worried though because they wouldnt really have a reason to go tramping up a steep hill to my grow site and even if they did, I doubt they'd notice. I was also thinking about putting a rain barrel in some thick bushes and spraying painting it camo so I won't get spotted getting water from the lake. So tell me what you think.

nah, the barrel would have a screen type net over it to keep leaves and mosquitos out. Yeah and I also have some other sites in mind. Dont want to put all my eggs in one basket

booby traps
You sure post alot of non constructive stuff....but anyways to the topic your idea sounds good but be 100% sure knowon is gonna come stomping through the bushes and scare the shit outta you when you checking your plants. try to check them early in the morning like 6-7 am or later on in the evening like 7-8 when there wont be anyone out there. make sure your bucket is really camo'd out you dont want some won following your water line to your crops...maybe cover it with branches and other natural crap along with painting it for maximum stealth.im not sure what type of tubing you are using but that stuff can get messed up in the sun so use a strong type that withstands elements... i have even seen people bury the tube 4 inches under the dirt all the way to there patch if not far from the water.bongsmilie but w/e you do make you do it safe..and make sure you dont go there to much and that your not there the likely time that some won would find them.like in the middle of the day.also try to come in to the plot in different ways and always make sure your not being followed or watched and be cautious entering your site as sometimes the PO's will ambush you when you come back to check on them.:blsmoke:

One thing that you need to consider, since there was a fire there... it is very possible that in the summer time there will be firefighters out there making sure that the area is safe. They get deep in there even if its woodsy.
I lived in SD during both of the big ass fires and after the first one I always seen firefighters doing required inspections on the trail behind my house. Thats a good way to get busted.

Another really good point... nice!bongsmilie

If the fire was really 5 years ago, it should be fine. The only danger might be that biologists could be studying the area to see how the various species of flora and fauna are repopulating the burndown. Can't evaluate the likelihood of that, but that is what they do from time to time. I think it sounds like a terrific spot - the small trees are a perfect touch. Dope is a lot easier to spot when it's standing out in the middle of a field.

Not too worried about fire fighters because wildfires arent all that common in NC. I'm thinking twice about the rain barrel because if a stray fisherman or somehting sees it, then he'll be looking for a reason for it to be there and it might blow the whole thing. As for booby traps, its a maybe.

actually ma dude.. many cities and towns will deploy fire deputies that drive around for the city and check off dead grassy fields and other dead crap thats fire risk and then clean up crews will pickt it up. They also site houses that are not maintained and not safe for fire season so keep your yard well clean so any neighbor of yours doesnt decide to narck you out.And if your growing off of fire roads be careful they check those making sure they are accessible during a fire emergency:roll:

i advise against boobytraps. you might keep another grower out, but if a kid finds your stop and gets hurt you know the parents are going to hear about it, and then they are going to check it out, closest thing to a boobytrap you should set is a trail cam, you can get them on ebay pretty cheep hunters use them to see if animals are active in an area. besides boobytraping your grow just makes you look even worse if you get caught, who knows what else the prosecuter is going to try and put on you for putting other people in danger.
