Hello everyone, I have germed 50 bagseeds and planeted them in those starter plant pots ini Miracle seed starting potting mix. The mix has a nute ratio of .05N .01Ph and .05 Po. 4 Days later 45/50 have sprouted. Seedlings were put under (4) 48in 40w cool flouro shop lights with the lights 1/4-1/2 from the tops of plants. Lights are 3000k and 3000L each with a total of 12000L. No box yet just have lights hanging over plants.

Seven days into sprouting I have repotted stater pods into plastic party cups and have added a mixture of Miracle gro potting mix and miracle gro seed starting potting mix. Plants have 2 nodes each with some on the third node. Have placed the new pots onto aluminum trays to catch drain off and have placed the trays on a piece of white styrefoam with two other pieces forming a lean to against the lights, sort of like a tent. the lights are positioned about 1/2 above the plants.

hey... nice setup... have you ever grown outdoors.. and if so do you find indoor growing more productive or outdoor?

I plan on staying indoor, I have an extra bedroom and I own the house so no worries. Hopefully I will get a good ratio of fems to males hence why I started with 50. I have never grown indoor before so I am pretty new to all of this but am pretty confident with my results so far. I am still unsure how long to veg for. I have had lights on for 24/7 for the last 10 days, since they sprouted. I am thinking of adding another shop light with 2 more 48" 40 W bulbs when I start flowering.

You will need more light for flower.
See growfaq's up top on the left.

If you have not been to newbie central yet, go there and introduce yourself.

Welcome and happy growing.

Well I found myself having to repot, the roots were beginning to crawl back up the sides of the plastic cups. I picked up some longer deeper style pots, see pic, and have replanted 12 plants each in 2 seperate planters. Since I am low on cash and don't have any plans to buy more lights right now I have placed one of the planters inside under the (4) fluoros and the other 12 have gotten their new home outside in some woods near my house. I still have 12 left inside plastic cups that I will probably try to cut and replant in some rockwool for their new home in an ebb and flow hydro tank a friend loaned me. I have been looking for some info on the ebb and flow system, The friend also gave me some I & H Incorporated original rockwool formula 1, does anyone have any exp with this??? also any suggestions on the cuttings? I am soaking the rockwool right now in the nutes. I will continue to veg planter 1 for another week or 2 once the new roots take hold.

It is now day 14 since the first sprouts were seen. Plants are doing very well since the replanting. See pics below. Even the planter outside is doing good as well. Have no pics of the ones moved outside yet. I bent each of the plants over so that the stems and lower growth will get more light and try to get them to wrap around the planter instead of growing up. I am not so much looking for a bountiful harvest just seeing is I can get any. I know that planter is crowded a little with 12 plants but I don't figure on all of them being fems... Is is possible to keep four or five in that size of planter box the whole way through, it is 8" deep 6" wide and 30" long also how long should I veg for I was thinking just another week and then going to 12/12, any suggestions?

I am not bragging by any means just want to know if my plants should be bigger by now its day 14 since sprouting also I was wanting to know when would be a good time to start flowering, I am not looking for a large supply just some good green

My plants are on their second day of flowering. They are still continuing to do very well, the planter box that I placed outdoors is beginning to stretch quite a bit. The ones I have inside the leaves are beginning to look dry, bc the humidity is really low in the room, I am using the 4ft flouros still so there isn't much heat much less alot of humidity. Can I stick them in my bathroom shower on hot and let them soak up some much needed moisture? The soil isnt drying out so the problem isn't there. They are asleep right now so i am debating my options until they wake... I will be posting updated pics on the outside box here shortly

Here are some updated pics of the planter box outside. There are 10 plants the planter, I know all will not make it and am shooting for 40%. Is my planter box big enough for four plants? If not I plan to cut the bottom out of the box and just set it in the ground. My inside box will be cut and placed inside of a rubbermaid box with holes cut into the bottom for drainage. There are also a couple of pics of the cuttings I placed in the rockwool cubes and then transplanted them into 4" cubes I am getting nice root growth at just 7 days. I haven't been able to get them into my ebb and flow hydro tank yet because my light for the tank has a broken ballast and I have no cash, the tray gets flooded till the cubes are soaked and then just hangs out under my fluoros. Inside plants will be posted later when they wake up.

I figured only a couple of them will turn out to be female with the males being cut . I also am just going to cut the bottom out of the planter box and setting it into a large square rubbermaid tub for transplant. Will that give them enough room? the tub will be16 gallons.

well I was able to get some 3 gallon used pots from a local nusery, got 20 for like 50cents the old man there was cool. I transplanted 10 of them and was able to get 8 into a rubbermaid tub that could be easily covered for darkness, the other 2 are just chilling outside for the time being, I cant wait till tomorrow when I get paid so I can get a home built for my babies and some more lights. I will be posting pics of the new transplants plus some of the garden I have outside later on today.

here are some updated pics, it is now day 12 of 12/12 and i still haven't been able to find any sign of sex. I will be putting of some pics so maybe someone will be able to tell me where I should be looking, i have done some research but still cant find anything. also does anyone know what kind of plants I might have, they were out of a bag of shwagg that I had. when and what kind of nutes should I be adding, they have been doing so well that i really didnt want to mess with them, I am only watering about once a week, the soil is staying moist on top.
