My goal is to just get a shitty plant, get used to growing, what do I do?

Okay, so I want to grow 1 plant- got some seeds. I'm not too interested in yield right now, I don't really care if it turns out male (it can still get you high). I'm really just trying to get the feel for growing, learn what I'm doing and get a little bit of weed at the end.

So here's my plan:

Get a 1 by 1 by 3 foot tall box, coat it with white paper or aluminum foil. Poke a hole in the box and put a light wire through it, and then hang the lights above the plant. I will use CFLs, about 100 watts. The CFLs will all be cool white (can't get soft white at the store near me, there's only one store to get light bulbs for a really long way, I live in the country). Will put the plant in a 5 gallon pot, with some miracle gro.

Remember, I'm not aiming high. I just want some experience and a little bit of weed. I just want some smokable bud, not pounds of weed.

So will it work?

everyone has to start somewhere. Just stick with the one plant. Do not use foil will burn your plants stick to flat white paint. With miracle gro just water not very often as it has nutes in. Lights be ok for your needs for now. Also how do you expect to get high of a male? Males do NOT produce bud.

First of all if your growing illegally than your taking a risk is this really what you want to do? If you decide yes I still want to do it than you might as well do it right if you get caught with one male plant your gonna get charged with cultivation so it's not worth the risk if there is no reward. The good news is that it's not very hard or expensive to get started you just need some info and experience if you grow 4 plants u get 4 x the experience of one. Not all plants will be equal and you can grow lots of them and than just keep the healthiest. I say grow out at least 10 than you'll get some females and you'll get some buds. I just chopped down my 2 foot male today you want it? Your not gonna get any bud from it only leaves of low potency I once got a pound of leaves back in the day we would smoke 3 or 4 fat joints before school, long story short my teacher turned me in cuz i smelled like pot, but I didn't have any on me and I passed some test they gave me cuz i wasn't high.

Get a bigger box or a closet or something and get a lot of cfls. You probably wanna flower them at about 3 weeks old they don't need to be that big in fact you want them short to get better efficiency from your lights. Check around do some research and I'm sure you can get some quality homegrown in just a matter of months. A good book is seemore bud's book buds for less. Or you can ignore me and grow one plant and maybe get lucky but if it's a male you gotta start all over and i guarantee your gonna wish you had just planted more in the first place waitin another month or so to get back to where you are will feel like an eternity.
