I Don't want to deal with the sprayers/clogging and the NFT is alot more simple to build..

But I will be using a rubbermaid aero cloner and aero vegger..

So that being said also will it stress the plants to go from aero vegger to an NFT flower system????

Give me your opinions...

ok dont use the sprayers they will clog, what you need to do is put your plants in containers. (2 reasons, one you can move them and two more efficient) next do some home work on ebb and flood, you wont need the sprayers but same idea with drain. hope this helps

Thanks for the input but I don't want to go the flood and drain route..
either NFT or aero/nft. I designed it around the stinkbud system.. I might go square tube but it's more expensive.. I read a flat bottom will be better then a round one..

Plus I wanted atleast 6" round PCV and I can only find 4" (I read with the 4" the roots clog up the flow if the plants are too big, I only have roughly 3 feet or grow space give or take.. depending on how tall the rubbermaid tubes are). So I might go for the Square fence post, bigger root space and a better nutrient flow... hence NFT..

The 4" PVC is $24 for a 12' length, so thats all 3 4' tube's.. or atleast 2 5'ers.
caps are $2.40 each. so $40 for this style tube...

The 8' square fence post is $44, so that would be 2 and I'd have to fork out $88 if I wanna make 3.. and I might as well make 4 if I have the room.
Caps I don't know but probly $5-$10 each atleast. So $118 at the low end making 3.. almost 3 times more.. Meh.. will it be that much better??

I may make one 4" pvc for now and keep the rest of the tube until I test the proto type..
Then maybe in a couple weeks i'll spring for a square fence post. And test them side by side.. I'm still piecing the whole room together..

This is a very cheap system.. very easy to use.. I'm trying to design the sprayers to be able to pull out and be replaced easily then I will lean more toward the aero.. It's not that much more work or money(12' 1/2" PVC is $5 and I have 1/4 tubing and the sprayers left over from the vegger, plus they aren't expensive $3 for 5 I think it was).. the main issue is the sprayers being easily accessible.. so I can clean or replace.. They aren't super fine sprayers..

I wanna know if aeroponics is that much better then a standard NFT..

I will need a bit bigger pump to run the sprayer as oppose to just the NFT slow stream... Not that big of a deal.. $10-$15 more.

And there is 5 holes incase I want to run 5 small plants.. but to keep numbers down.. i'm gonna run 3 most of the time.. and go from there.. I will have 3 of these side by side.. tubes will be 4'-5' not sure yet I have to measure my max amount of room... hopefully 5 but but if my memory serves me correct it will be 4'. So i'll have the first holes, one at each end 4" in from the end of the tube and then each hole will have 8" inbetween.. so the 3 plants will be 16" apart.. 2" net pots...

I'd appreciate your comments on the design rather then a new route..
