My first try

So far I have already made a few mistakes. To begin when my seeds first germinated I took almost a week to get soil. By that time two of them had completely came out of the seeds and were about 2-3 inches. Hopefully they still survive and grow healthy with my unprepared start. Out of 7 only 3 seeds germinated, in my previous attempts I never planted them just simply gave them away after they germinated. Twice 4 out of 4 germinated and very rapidly as well. This time they took long due to several accident exposure to light. This time I was very careless and unprepared as hopefully my next test run goes smoother and better as I am still learning. Today was the first day I put them in soil around 2 or 3 pm. I placed them in Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix. I put them in some plastic cups and with a needle I poked several holes around the bottom edge so they may drain any excess water. I watered them with tap water. Tonight I plan to germinate 3 more seeds and hopefully they all come out successfully. Any further progress or failure I will update my journal with.

I loosened the soil and when I was inspecting it I think since it took me so long to put it in soil that containers A and B from series 1 are probably dead. During germination since they were so long of strands that were not in soil they tore as S1 container C may be alive. I am going to keep watch on S1 and I do not think A, B, or C will be successful specimens and by the end of the month if they show little or no progress I will throw them out but today when I looked at the germinated seeds 1 out of 4 is showing progress and S2 has not been exposed to any light whatsoever. I think I ruined a chance of life for S1 because I gave them a bad start and continue to as I realize errors Series 2 will hopefully be successful.

Ok yesterday I checked the germinating area and the ending verdict was 1 out of 4. The one was about half an inch so i placed it in soil and it began its journey. So far the seeds from S1 have not grown at all I am beginning to think they are all duds due to there poor start. Five new seeds are germinating and in a few days I will check on them and update. Beginning at 7am everyday the cups are placed outside where there is sunlight and when the sun goes down I place them under a light for a few hours and then the next day do the same.

The first three that I gave a poor start to I got rid of tonight and the only one that germinated has grown about an inch or so. Than I figured out that the reason the seeds are not germinating well is because I used too big of a container and forgot to keep them in a warm location. Tonight I decided to germinate about seven seeds and hopefully they come out good cuz I used a smaller container and it is in a better location. Hopefully when I examined my single surviving plant continues to survive for I might have killed it today. Let's find out =] I am making a lot of mistakes but am also learning.

The plant died after I accidentally killed it than it shriveled up and my cat ate it lol. I am going to start a new batch by germinating them but first I am making a list of all the things needed. Like lighting and etc,

First are comments ok?

If you have any questions just ask away and myself and others will gladly try to answer them the best we can.

ok i finally realize that choosing that soil was a mistake and now before i begin another series i am going to get completely different equipment; 17 seeds were used in the first 2 series and i have quite a few more that hopefully will be successful but right now i am thinking of using flourescents

i need to buy 2 two-light holder things lol
1 for vegetation stage (for that one i was thinking of using a daylight spectrum fl. and a cool spectrum fl.)
1 for flowering stage (for that one i was thinking of using a warm spectrum fl. and a wide spectrum fl.)
