I'll do my best to take some shots that would do the buds justice. I don't have the same camera that I had to take the plant pics with....but I'll see if I can take some that don't suck.

My apologies on the delay with the pics and smoke report guys/gals. I am trying to get some dried bud shots today, and I plan to do a nice smoke-report in the morning (now that I can actually taste a little!). I'll post both tomorrow. The jar containing my favorite pheno really reaks like rotting mango and cherries now, after just a few days
. Growing this TGA strain really makes me want to go out and buy seeds of every strain they carry, this is serious dank indeed.

Yeah man, I experienced things with these Vortex seeds that I just haven't seen before with any other strain that I've grown. Things like: Resin at day 7 of flowering, heavy stem-resin even on the main big stems, and maturity on sativa-dominant plants at 7-8 weeks of budding. I really can't wait to see what my other 5 seeds hold.This is good to hear. I just got off of my ass and finally planted some Vortex beans yesterday. I can't wait!

Quick stat breakdown:
Strain: Vortex#2, pheno pictured above.
Growth: tall w/ 2.5X stretch at flower. Golfball nugs at each node. Light yielder.
Nutes: PureBlendPro nutes. HappyFrog/Light Warrior soil. feedings at 6.5 PH
Yield: 10 grams. Small plants flowered early.
Bag Appeal: Small uniform nugs with lots of sticky resin. Very gooey in texture.
Smell: Intense Cherry/Mango. Less poop and more fruit with a haze influence as well.
Taste: same as smell. Very sweet cherry on inhale-more sour on exhale.
The High:Up and cerebral-motivating-eye effects and visuals are pretty strong.
Comments: The smell of this one in the air while it is burning really reminds me more of a good haze strain. SSH comes to mind. My wife also noticed the haze smell in the air. The high is also similar IMO. At 6am I took down about 3 bowls between the bong and a small glass pipe. Slightly harsh still but it has only been curing about 5 days or so. Good flavor on all bowls and even the cashed hits taste good. More sweet fruit flavor and less haze on the taste. 5 min. after medicating I am feeling very motivated and not like I want to go back to bed. I start to get strong eye effects that along with the buzz that seems to creep up to be stonger than I thought it would be. Very long lasting and cerebral...I make a mental-note a while later that I am still very high...something that doesn't happen to me much.
I am still on the fence on whether or not to keep this pheno. I have another bush entering the flower stage now, so I'll see if the clone run is any different/better.

Growth: Medium height and branchy-2x stretch. Dense beautiful "lowers". Good Yield
Nutes: PureBlendPro nutes. HappyFrog/Light Warrior soil. feedings at 6.5 PH
Yield: 14 grams. Small plants flowered early.
Bag Appeal: Amazing. Very Frosty. Small dense buds-reminds me of SpaceBomb look.
Smell: Puke,poop,and mango. Add some rotting lemon and socks. F-ing mouth watering.
Taste: I can tell it will epic after a long cure. Very putrid. I remember Subcool saying "soft and brutally potent" about vortex somewhere in a thread..this describes the taste of this pheno perfectly
High: This one is more relaxed. Still cerebral but more giggly and chill.
Comments: I smoked 3 bowls in a small glass pipe...avoiding the bong due to the flavor being better out of pipe. It is sour and putrid fruit on the inhale and exhale, the kind of weed my friends used to call "pukey" weed. By the time I got done medicating, I really just felt like watching some SouthPark and laughing for a while. Seems like it could be great medication for someone needing a laugh, it is a very warm and happy feeling that could lift the spirits. Good pain relief as well. Also long lasting, over-medicating could end in a pot-nap.
I am holding on to this pheno for sure. The smell....ah the smell......

Nutes: PureBlendPro nutes. HappyFrog/Light Warrior soil. feedings at 6.5 PH
Yield: 14 grams. Small plants flowered early.
Bag Appeal: Rock-hard buds. Largest buds with this pheno, and less resin. (still good)
Smell: There is a nice balanced smell of cherry, mango, and a slightly savory "vanilla" smell in this jar that none of the others have. It is less pungent and more subtle.
Taste: Same as smell. Full bodied smoke with less tang. I think a nice cure will make this one a very creamy smoke.
High: Nice cerebral action that isn't too intense. A little less focused though and just kind of a nice buzz to enjoy while doing mindless housework.
Comments: Again, 3 bowls out of a pipe. This one was kind of nice to smoke just for the full-bodied smoke. The flavor is kinda lacking but after a long cure this one could be delicious indeed. It is a different character of flavor from the others...
The plant seems to be lacking in pizazz (if you know what I mean) with the flavor and high...but it could be the cash-cropper of the bunch. More weight, less resin and dankness. I will run the bush I have vegged out again to see what she offers the second time. All in all a good smoke.

Growth: Very tall/loose-2.5x stretch. Wispy and airy buds. Very sativa looking.
Nutes: PureBlendPro nutes. HappyFrog/Light Warrior soil. feedings at 6.5 PH
Yield: 9 grams. Small plants flowered early. Extremely airy buds.
Bag Appeal: A sativa loving weed-nerd would be interested...but it is VERY airy.
Smell: This is one is lemons and pineapple. It is pungent and delicious indeed.
Taste: Same as taste....kinda stemy tasting as it is hard to remove them all.
High: Very up and buzzy. The kind of up-buzz that is good for Saturday morning cartoons, not before work on a Monday (if that makes sense..)
Comments: I'll start by saying that I already killed this clone. It is just too airy to keep growing. The thin Sativa leaves were beautiful and the plant had more resin on it than any other plant with that much Sativa in it that I have grown....but I just need more density. I went ahead with 3 bowls in the bong with this girl. The smoke was a little harsh and flat, but still carried the lemon flavor nicely thru the bong. I felt happy and light, but kinda spacy too. The high was nice but then it faded pretty quickly. I would like to note that any other plant Ive grown out in my past that has been this much Sativa dominant before has had hermie problems and weak resin, two problems that this plant had no issues with at all...so that was cool.

Yeah, growing the seeds, and then doing the selection on these plants has been such a fun process that I almost think it would be boring to get a 10 pack that showed all the same pheno's. I am very excited for doing the same kind of run (5 seeds) that I did here...but with Pandora's Box...or perhaps SpaceJill...or maybe JTR....

Nice. I would enjoy trying one of the TGA strains with more Indica in it...but the sample of JTR that I had recently killed my pain so efficiently every time I smoked it that I would love to have it around in my jar every day. On a different note, I think I am going to mix up my 1st batch of Supersoil this weekend! Now that I have (some of) the proper genetics, I need to prepare the other ingredients for ultimate dank production.
